Suggested weapons that are not in GW
I have used the search engine, couldn't really find this topic. So, I want to be the first.
What are some weapons that could be suggested in GW?
Well, I know there are no maces in GW, so I would like to see them create a character with a mace.

Just to note, don't discuss about guns. It tends to be long discussion, check the forum rules and use the search engine to see discussion about guns. Don't discuss it here.

for example: katana/wakizashi
or rapier/main gauche
hell even sword/cloak swashbuckling combo!

Nothing new will be added to GW. It is 4 years into the game, and the staff is very small to handle bugs, skill balancing, and support. If you actually think they would add more weapons to the game, try reading what has been said. If this is a topic for ideas for GW2, use the sticky, as this isn't the place for those topics.

This sadly is correct do not expect anything more than maybe a few weapon skins. GW1 is dieing when it comes to major updates and will most likely remain more or less the same till the servers are closed, if they are.

i want to see the Pig-a-pult in GVG. i know this would make me go into Ob mode more often.
but i can see a mace or morning star being the same stats as a sword but with blunt damage being added with little work. but then sword/axe skills would have to be changed to one handed weapon skills.
or a crossbow with the same stats as a shortbow or something.
halberds and poleaxes same as hammer skills etc.
but sadly, this does sound more like an idea for GW2 unfortunately.

The idea of maces has been banded around a little in the past, most recently in this thread.
Given MadmaRed's lengthy post, I'm not convinced that this rather poorly set out idea is deserving of it's own thread. "I think there should be maces" doesn't really encourage detailed discussion in the way we'd like.
