GW2 What will you choose?
I figured this didnt fit into the suggestions thread for GW2.
I was wondering what people will think be more beneficial. The developers mentioned that a sidekick system will be added and you can bring a hero with you during adventuring but if you dont choose one you will be buffed for the fact that you are solo.
So what do you think will be more useful? Being able to have a personal assistant monk or being compensated with more strength/energy/etc?

Probably a healer, so I can bring more damage skills to compensate.

I wont be choosing either.
I won't be purchasing GW2.
I do not like not being able to "Click to move" and I'm sure Jumping will be useless.
I also do like the idea of one big instanced world, if I did like that idea I would play WoW. Standing in line to finnish a quest/mission is tad daft imo.
ANYWAY>.....
On topic I guess it would depend on the situation, If I can not fit enough skills on my bar that I need to to be successful solo then I will bring along the side kick. If I have a solo bar that, with a little buff, Rocks-n-Rolls then I'll go Solo.

You realize they said missions will still be instanced, right?

....oh wait...wut? this isn't even a suggestion?
anyways, people will find exploits, and whichever one has the better exploits is the one people will likely use.

Totally appropriate Sardelac thread.
I don't know enough about the game mechanics of GW2 to make a good assumption on which to take over the other.

Will have to wait and see how classes will work, but might go for a warrior like I chose in GW1.
And she'll be a human. Because DX10-rendered female's are hawt.

Lot's of people dont' have a problem with moving using the keyboard, especially those who play FPS's. As for jumping, I actually think it would be great it the animation was implemented like something in the lines of COD4, (people who played it know what I'm talking about) where you actually see a character putting one or both hands on something to get a grip to climb or jump over a fence or something, actually looking realistic, instead of those generic press-space-bar-to-hop-up you see a lot.

well the problem with jumping is that its hard to implement correctly in the world of gw. gw is heavily action-based in terms of movement. for wow, its okay, the jumping is pretty much useless because its not terribly action-based. but if gw2 implements jumping incorrectly, it wouldn't just be useless--it would be a hinder on the gameplay and may very likely be exploited.

I'll probably roll myself a Sylvari caster of some sort.
Since we still don't no for sure what classes will actually be in GW2, I cant say for sure. Heck, I'm sure classes will have evolved in such a long time. I'd actually be rather upset if it were the SAME classes as GW1 with the same playing styles
