Oh definitely, I love Vista - most stable and smoothly running OS I've ever used.
And yes, it's most definately speculation. Though from what I've heard (and this is all just second hand from reading things on Cnet and such) I thought that they were shooting for a release some time late this year, and at the latest sometime in the first half of 2010. Though the main gist of that statement was just to say that Arenanet has already said DX10, and hence Vista, won't be required for GW2.

Once that's is clear, since you can already install Linux or Windows on a Mac computer, is faster an easier just to have multiple Operating Systems on a machine than making each application work in all of them.

No that is the best way it should be played, though that is rather subjective, should not be the only way.

Considerable compared with the mac sold until now, still inconsiderable compared with PC-compatible computers, and with the current crisis, Mac prices can't compete with PCs, so hat slight increase is going down again.

windows 7 will be released as early as december this year, so definitely not 2012.
anyways back to topic: there won't be an official mac version until microsoft decides to make directx available on every platform. since that's not going to happen, there won't be an official mac version of GW2.

Yea, but some of us are hoping that GW2 will be as popular as CoD4, and that they decide to run an official port of the game to Open GL =]

Here's what you do...run bootcamp on your Mac which allows you to switch over and run/play/install winodow programs from your OS X. Google boot camp and see or look at the apple site. I believe there is a thread on Guru telling you how to run GW from your Mac.

I want my next computer to be a Mac, but I don't want to risk compatibility. I know there's Bootcamp, but I can't say I'd enjoy spending that much money on a new computer and find it won't work for whatever reason.

You are actually running Windows with Boot Camp, and not through emulation or other tricks. You wouldn't have operating system based compatibility issues.

Macs nowadays are PC-compatible, since they use PC-compatible processors now. You won't have problems with that, Linux Mac and Windows can be instelled at the same time in the same machine...
...needless to say you do require emulation to run them at the same time, XD.

you don't need emulation, unless you don't understand what emulation means, and using it extremely loosely.
bootcamp on a modern mac allows you to install windows. effectively, it BECOMES a normal computer running a real operating system, instead of a toy (cwutididthar?). as a normal computer, your mac will operate at 100% of its hardware's capabilities. all directx games will run the same as a pc with identical hardware.
