Offline notes
Its always bugged me that I am not able to leave my friends offline messages. For example- Arranging runs through The Deep or something with a group of buddies, not everyone is on at the same time so you could send a message to an offline buddy and he would get it when he signs on. To prevent jackasses from spamming random people and being generally annoying, offline messages could only be sent when the recipient has you added to their buddy list.

Yeah but not everyone uses these programs >_>
-and many of those still require the people to be on at the same moment

I'm pretty sure everyone playing games online has an e-mail address by now.
It might be a pretty cool add-on, but tbh, there are more urgent matters. And seeing they didn't even roll out a monthly skillbalance, because they didn't have the resources, tweaks like this shouldn't be anywhere near the top of their list.

This is the most appropriate response for almost every suggestion.

Guild Wars is a game really, leave it at that. We've got things like MSN where you can do this, no need for Anet to waste time implementing it.

As mentioned it's not the most important feature, but in-game mail is common to tons of games now. Not seeing it in GW2 would arguably be stupid.

Hm... internal messages take space, but there could be an option to set a simple and short text line (not the one used to login for security reasons), so if you put that address, people can get that line by selecting you and hitting a new button that would appear next to the Trade button, or by adding you as a friend and clicking in your contact icon the option "User note".
In that line you would be able to put, for example:
- Your wiki user page, so people can direct to its talk page to contact you.
- A secondary mail (never your login mail) to keep contact with people in there.
- A message telling that you are selling or buying something.
- The next quest, mission or dungeon you intent to do...
It would be quite useful.

meh, maybe not needed but it seems like it would be a nice convenience ;-). It also has the possibility of being spam abused, so meh ;-)
