Legendary Guardian (2)?
As per my post in this thread I'd like to put forward the idea to change Legendary Guardian so that when you finish all three campaigns in Normal Mode you get Legendary Protector (1) (which DOES NOT count towards the maxed titles) and only when you finish all campaigns in Hard Mode and Normal Mode, do you get Legendary Guardian (2).
A similar idea could be implimented for Cartography, ie Legendary Explorer if you get 60% mapped in all campaigns, etc. Again, this would not count towards the maxed title track, would only just be another title to display for fun.
A poll has been added. Please use that unless you'd like to elaborate further. "/signed" or "/notsigned" posts will be deleted.

Close, please.
Mod edit: Actually, this one wouldn't count towards GWAMM, etc. So it's a little different.

/signed. Same for LDoA. I think when you hit 16 there should be a tier 1 title you can display so people at least know you're progressing and you're going for it.

Sorry to sound stupid, but what's GWAMM?
PM me if you think it'll distract the current topic.
But also /signed on the OP's Protector/Guardian (I can care less really because I just got Legendary Guardian not too long ago kudos for me!!!).

OP's idea makes a lot of sense, and /signed.
But what's the point with doing that for LDoA?? Can't people just see your level? And whats the use of nonmax LDoA in post?

GWAMM is God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, which is (currently) the highest rank of the max-title track. It means that the character has 30 maxed titles.
As for the reason, well, there was the thread I linked, and also characters get titles for mapping just 60% of a continent. You get to display your Sunspear rank after rank 5 or 6, Lightbringer and the Rep titles from GW:EN (although, yes, they do have a reason for it). There's still alot of titles that can be displayed for some minimal achievement and I think doing all those missions means doing a good deal more then some ofthose, so why not do it?
Also, while my primary character is a LG, I've got half a dozen or more characters that have Protector of Tyria, Cantha and Elona, and it'd be nice for them to get something, other then just being half way to Legendary Guardian.

Well, as I said, we do have the ability to display lesser titles. Why not just a "Defender of Ascalon" for those that make it that far? Give people something to display other then their account wide titles while they're working on maxing out their LDoA. All-in-all, yeah, not all that useful, but then titles in general aren't all that useful. Otoh, t wouldn't detract from the gameplay in any and probably wouldn't be too much more coding, so why not do it?

I said it on the other thread, and I'll say it here: I think it provides something nice for people to look at. To veterans, it's not a lot. Most of us consider the Protector titles as something very easy to get.
However, to, say, newbies, to whom the prospect of getting GWAMM is extremely daunting, it's a little bit of encouragement along the way. You're not dumbing down NM further, you're just recognising something they would have to do to get Legendary Guardian. People like feeling that they've achieved something, and titles are a confirmation of that achievement.
And for those people who have Legendary Guardian - well, it won't affect you, will it? It doesn't diminish your title or screw over the current title system in any way.

It wouldn't actually impact or change anything. All it would do is give those of us who don't want to go through HM/are intimidated by it/have finally finished all three campaigns something to go "oooooooh" over. Since, you know, not everyone rushes through the games or thinks/finds that getting the master rewards on every mission is easy.

I agree with ShadowBaneX and GlacialPhoenix on all of their points here. There is no reason under the sun why this can not be implemented. It has been an emotional debate in another thread and this is the best solution all the way around. And it makes sense due to the other title structures already in place.

Shadow, I signed this right after you did, but my post was deleted because I didn't say anything except "/signed." I didn't know I needed to give an opinion, too.
Anyway, it's just a good idea. And since someone posted a link showing another discussion similar to this from a year ago, maybe Anet should rethink this position.
Anyway, you have my support!

It's a title that should have been implemented from the very beginning

I can't see any possible harm in it, and it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to implement unless you also want a statue for the HoM. Even then, ANet could just use the same old three-map statue that they use for several other titles, so it wouldn't require any artist time.

From what I gather, nope, no new statue for the HoM. It's part of the Legendary Guardian title track, and HoM already registers that. So presumably you wouldn't get the statue until you got Legendary Guardian.
