I'm fed up with my Ele's prim and proper hair style. She's a rock chick (geomancer..geddit?) and needs a wild hair style.

/signed! for hair style changes, but not accessories since there's armor for that, and the different styles are quickly multiplying with anet's two chapter a year plan, which should make for quite a bit of clothing diversity

Glad to see my old topic is still generating interest.
Remember generally asking for a hair style changing NPC is about as much as most of us want.
When I created the thread ages, I added things like rings and stuff only as a suggestion. Not really the idea as a whole.
Also those who say "Go play the sims" there are plenty of games which allow constant customisation of you in game character beyond their basic look.
Most likely a hair changing NPC could be done, but it will take a bit of time to implement.
Also I've yet to find any proof of the devs saying this is impossible. I think people are confusing this with other things to do with in game characters and accounts.

Unless they have something extremely obscure going on, it isn't only possible, but very easy to implement, too. There's a fixed number of hair styles, skin tones, faces and such, so all that's needed to determine a character's appearance is most likely a number representing the option chosen for each of the visual features in a database, which is broadcast to every player in an outpost so that their clients can draw any new player entering that same outpost.
It's set during character creation, so there's absolutely no logical reason why it couldn't be set in-game, either.

Its been awhile about this thread but I feel like others here, see many players with the same face (For a good example now, the Dervish, almost everyone got the same face). I support greatly for a stylish guy even if it takes time. Perhaps we will get one in Chapter 4.

I would find this no more different than changeing your guilds cape.

I think all they would have to do would be to change a few values to change the face. Like if you have the 2nd style with brown hair, it would be something around 28, 2 being the 2nd style and 8 being the hair color.
I don't see why they would implement something more difficult than that...

i really really wanna c this happen. it would make me love anet again. its really dissapointing they havent done anything especially with this many people all saying the same thing. YES!! so it would take some time to think pricing but it would make the game more enjoyable knowing i could get rid of my necros mohawk (which doesnt match my luxon 15k) and change my elems faces so it looks decent and make my monk look like it isnt pale and going to throw up. i have no clue what i was thinking when i did that people make mistakes or get sick of these types of things. its pretty much like saying for the rest of your life you couldnt change your hairstyle. i dont know about you guys but ive had a few different ones and i think that in general this idea would help. so as i said before i say sign and id like to added sumthhing to that

I still support the Hair idea and adding accessories we can purchase (Hello, Gold Sink!) such as rings, necklaces and so forth.
Although I admit my surprise not seeing any Dev's posting in this topic in as long as this has been going.

But wouldn't it be better if they allow us to alter the appearance of our weapons? Such as the bigger the size, you want your axe to be, the costlier it is.
