I think there have been numerous good reasons to add it, and none why it shouldn't besides "I wouldn't use it". If you don't see the need for it, that's fine, but as this topic clearly shows, many people would like it.
Some of us made our characters over two years ago. Expansions have been released since then that add new and better faces/hair, and peoples tastes do change. Maybe someone created a character with pink hair, and would like a more natural colour now, or would like them to be a little taller/shorter.
So again. Why not?

If you wanna be rich in gw, you will. Just farm. Hard? No.

1. New money sink is always good, i want something to spend my money on, which is not titles.
2. Looking rich/cool is always good.
3.Suggestions: As you cant see many chars faces under the armor it would be good if you can modify armor too. Like colour it like you want (i wonder if rainbow colour armor looks cool... ).
4. However i dont really see this coming to gw1... To gw2, yes, it could be possible. But... in gw2 you should be able to customize your character when you make it. Customizing armor for money afterwards would be good.

I thought I recall a dev saying they were not going to put this into the game, though I don't remember exactly... it's a pity, too, because this kind of thing really doesn't take that much time to code. I think any excuses about needing to take people off other projects for a significant period of time are disingenuous. Won't stop them from making that excuse, of course.

I would really like to see this happen. I like to play my necro a lot lately and it's about the only character I play now. Only problem is that I don't like her hairstyle anymore. And i don't want to start a new necro because I'll lose all her titles.
So Anet, pls add this to GW or at least give us a reason why you're not adding it.

It could be useful also for all those graphic bugs like "piercing hair through your armor".

Add it to the NC Store for 10 or 15 bucks...there's a large demand for this type of service.
Ah hell, who am I kidding? I'll throw in an extra 50. All that title farming down the tubes, unless I want to tape a weight down to Z.

Why the hell wont they put it in?
It'll attract more customers and stuff and you people don't have to use it if you don't want to. Why the hell wouldn't you /sign it?

this thread has been up for months. i doubt A-net even looks at these threads. don't get me wrong, i would LOVE to have a stylist npc. But we all have to realize, a-net is too worried about gw2 and doesnt really care too much about regular Guild Wars anymore. Thats why they made GW:EN, to keep players occupied and give some elite re-skins of armor. But, keep fighting for that stylist NPC, it would really help out alot of my chars.

more customers for changing hair is bs.
as to why not the head programmers said more than 2 and a half years ago when this first came up that the account database of which your hairstyle is part of is designed (ON PURPOSE) to be tamper proof and not alterable.
they can not do it without reprogramming the database which they will not do.
thats why not

I love this idea! Who wears their hair exactly the same every day? Oh yeah...*looks in the mirror*. lol Anyway, I'd love to have this happen (name changes wouldn't hurt either haha).
But perhaps this will be a Guild Wars 2 thing.

I still think that they could 'fake' it by adding a new variable that 'covers' the base hair.
That way, you go to the Hairdresser, you get another hair that replaces your current one, and the 'default' hair is saved in the fixed properties of the character.
Chaging to other hair styles would cost money, going back to your 'default' one would be for free.
