Thanks for the support. But really now a plastic surgeon? That would be plain silly... if we had plastic surgeons then there should be cars, guns and planes in this game.
Chaging faces and heights would just be plain crazy.
But hair stylist would be a massive improvement.

/signed,
a perfect idea, i don't wanna look like other people, i wanna look different to everybody else
it would be even better if we could change the facial appearance instead of selecting faces. creating your own faces would be better as i don't like most of the faces on prophecies or factions.

Oh please, oh please, oh please! I am fairly new at Guild Wars but after 5 months of my rangers same stupid pig tails, I am desperate. It was way too much work to get my char to this level to start over. I have some other characters but I would pay $2.00 a pop to have the opportunity to change my hairstlyle long before I pay $10.00 for another character slot.

naaaaah, now cmon, its not like i want to add impossible stuff. for that kind of stuff u mention i can play different games; i like guild wars as it is. :) changin ur face shouldnt be that big a deal, the theory is the same as with changin ur hair.. y do u want to change those things? --> 1) to be able to switch to faces/hair/colour u werent thinkin at the time u made ur character, or like when factions came with new hair styles/faces ... u should be able to switch to those without havin to make a whole new character based on factions alone - and 2) to be able to be more individual, which i strongly support. i think it would be nicer to be able to have as much variation as possible, it would make guild wars more realistic (lot less clones, and btw, i agree with Knight Othin Of War, makin ur own face would bring this whole topic to a new level :D tho changin to alrdy extistin faces would be enuf for me alrdy, it would be at least a start ;-))
anyways, to sum it up, that plastic surgeon is just a thought, its not like i cant live without it, but that hair stylist is a different story :D i agree the surgeon might be too drastic (tho nice ;P), so lez start slow and see how ppl respond to the stylist first ;-)

Very cool idea and I would support it. I think it would also be fun to variate your charecters stature such as weight and posture. Have any of you noticed how Stefan[fighter] appears a bit chubby? Also Little Thom[Brawler] has a big ole pot belly from all those giant turkey legs he be eatin.
I think that would be totally funny if after you get a drunkard title to add a nice big bear keg stomach to your charecter lol..

I think the plastic surgeon is a bit overkill and unrealistic/unbelievable within the GW world. However, I still believe the hair stylist is relevant, useful, and needed -- if only Anet were listening.

I think this is a great idea. Many games already have this. All we need is an NPC just like the Guild Emblemer except with hair styles and colors. Changing a characters face is another cool idea but maybe a bit overboard. Mixing the different hair styles and colors of each profession would be cool too. Even if none of this ever happens.. I would be happy to have black hair on my assassin

yes a game involving people who can take an axe to the face and be perfectly fine or throw fire from their hands is perfectly reasonable, but a plastic surgeon? ARE YOU FREAKIN CRAZY?!?!?!
but if it really makes you that unhappy perhaps they could add it to the Log In window (as sm2006 said) next the the create delete buttons there could be one with "Edit Character" where you would take your character back to the character creation screen and you could basically remake a new monk or whatever your character may be and at the end a window would pop up and say 'the changes you have made will subtract 1,500 gold from your account, do you accept these charges?' or something to that affect
just seems odd to limit changes to just hair when your character involves gender/face/hair/height/skin color, but thats just me

i think his point was that plastic surgeons don't really fit into a fantasy rpg, just like cars etc don't fit in to a fantasy setting, not that you shouldn't be able to change your facial features, height, etc.
unless he is saying you shouldn't be able to. which i don't agree with.

Thank you, someone who understands.
Yes we in a game where people can shot fire out of their hands, but then again its a FANTASY GAME. So things like magic are understandable.
Having a "plastic surgeon" in game would seem completely out of place and random.
Not saying I wouldn't agree with full body changes. It just seems a bit radical.

that is why i said that if you didnt want a plastic surgeon in game perhaps we could have it in the log in menue. This would remove it from the game world so people like you would not be upset, but still alow people to change their character
i did post a possible way around the problem, please read that part next time

Instead of Plastic Surgery, there could be a magician.. with face changing spells!

it'd also be nice to be able to give a factions character a hairstyle and face from prophecies

/signed only for the idea that you should be able to pay some sort of IG money to change your characters hairstyle or hair color.

I'm 100% on-board with this idea (and I'm surprised they haven't already implemented it). Please, ANet, I'm tired of my ponytails!

I don't think a plastic surgeon would be an option, but a hair stylist would be a nice idea. Also, I think Factions players should be able to pick one of the faces/hairstyles from Prophecies, especially if they have both campaigns.

I dont want to see a full revamp of a character, only hair style and hair-related things for the most part.
