I would like to see a time based limit - say you can only change your name once a month.

I Def. could change my monks name it sucks rlly hardcore. Also to prevent abuse u could make it only like a limited amount of name changes like when we had territory changes.

I've had plenty of characters that I've had to redo because i despised the name.

Some people would change the name to much, my suggestion would be to
let the first name change be free. the second cost 5k the 3rd 10k the 4th 20k the 5th 30k.. ect.

Considering that my GW2 char (in 2009) will also inherit my current character's name, I would REALLY love to see a way to change my name.
Without losing 2-3 years of accomplishments...

I have two characters whose names I would like to change. I have a naming convention for my characters, but when I make a mule I ignore it. When I start playing the mule...

However I agree that there should be some kind of ingame charge for it. You need an ingame name changer NPC that you pay, just like an ingame profession changer. Or even a special quest you have to do to change your name. And the quest shouldn't be too easy. Perhaps you even have to pay to do the quest, a bit like the Norn tournaments.

Yes, I think it should be possible but a bit of a pain, so that you don't get willy-nilly name changing for the fun of it. That's too much like being a band.

I agree that there should be a charge, though perhaps not in game, perhaps the standard $10 fee for a 1 character rename?

Either way, with GWEN's HoM allowing us to tie names to GW2 characters I'm quite interested in a couple of renames.

Name Change should be something you earn in a campaign, not paid for. But one time only.

That way you can carry over a not-so-lame name to GW2, for example. I mean, we already paid for 4 chapters some of us, and the least you can do is make it free for those who bought GWEN(Since I would love a name change someday for my main, at least in time for GW2).

I reckon it shud be limited to 1 change a character, just so that you can change it now if you had second thoughts.. Because it may become abused...

But then youll have dicks hu spell it wrong and have a mispelt character name forever.. nvm
