Resellable Armor
im just saying ahead of time, im probably going to get flamed...
but anywhoosle, if armor was tradeable, and could be worn by any character i think it could really help the elitist economy in guild wars (or possibly make it worse)
to make this efficient though, there would have to be bonus stats on armor (somewhat like the non-inscribable weps in proph and factions) and the armor would have to be dropped by monsters, but only bosses or at the end of a storyline or for maxing a title
FLAME AWAY!! but dont if you think this is a good idea
EDIT: just was reminded of this, all armor aquired this way would have a lvl 20 req or a title req or somthing

It does sound like a good idea but the impact on the GW economy would be huge. Lol.

So you want a level 1 character that is only 10 minutes old to have access to Obsidian armor by buying it from someone else? No thanks. There are several reasons why armor can't be traded, and economy is not one of the major ones.

Had this in another game once, it was great because I could hand out sets of my homemade awesome armor to newbies.
The armor crafting system is something I've never really liked about GW.

I dont really like the idea of monsters dropping armor, but to add on to your idea of players trading armor, anet can also add a customizable factor (like weapons) that add a small % boost in defense at the cost of not being allowed to trade that armor between players.

Good point.
I never really looked at it that way but Elite Armor should be something that's earned rather than something obtained by simply throwing money at it.

I'm happy with the current system, and don't want to see it changed.

Lol, rofl and lmao
But to stay on topic; big failure. Elite armor should be someonething that isnt to easy to achieve (though I hate needing to play my chars true all games cause of some armor ) If you regret buying the armor salvage it.
Would be quite weird if a Size 10 monk with a fat belly could wear my size one armor.. Isnt armor customized, cause it is specially made for your char, and therefor doesnt fit anywhere else. Or they should make armor depending on length and sex and prof and remake their system..
WTS Elite Sunspear Armor, Monk, Female, Length: 1,65 cm. 10k a part. PM ME!
But o wait, thats too much effort for such stupid idea..

So there's a difference between that and someone getting rushed through Prophecies and getting Obsidian armor at say level 14? The latter is already going on and I have gotten several armors this way. What's the big deal?
I am totally for this.

This has nothing to do with anything.
When you get certain armor is no longer a an issue in most cases. There are characters as low as level 13 running around with obsidian armor these days, and you can get run to all prophecies elite armors.

You're missing the point.
Yes, there are characters that are < level 20 running around with elite armor but think of what they had to go through in order to achieve that - they would still have to work for it.
Because of this, only the people who made the effort to run out and earn the armor before level 20 have them. With what the OP proposed, anyone that has access to some money will have level 1 characters with elite armor.

That won't help economy.
Armors are a gold sink. It's cash you spend and no one gets back again.
Gold sinks help game economies by making those with more cash spend more.

this.
lol lvl characters with max armor is completely irrelevant. u lvl up to 20 so fast in this game, it wouldn't even matter for the most part.
and ur idea doesn't seem very clear cut. u want armors to be tradable or to drop or what? please clarify

Because the armor system GW has now is nice, and it would be unfair for low lvls to have high-end or max armor in starter areas. Yes, I know you can get runs, and still, this system means armor = work work work. By your system, it's armor = cash cash cash unless you guys are the type of people who buy the materials for their armor....
