Personaly as with others...Its what you like

Dont know how often i hear this in towns..whats the best armour and a flood of replies come

I always come back with,,,there no best max is max and then add tell me the differece between 5k and 150k as stats are the same

The elitism of some guys lol as i have 3 accnts and can tell you I choose what fits my char whether it be a 5k one or whatever.

Ok I agree with the point some guys farm to obtain gloves obi ect...

It makes not one bit of difference to me or would say mosst guys..its just epeen of some who think to get is a big deal its not..its only in the eyes of the beholder it is

Sorry, I just would rather to see them update current prestige armours, and add a few new ones that can just be farmed for; I.E: Luxon & Kurzick Dervish/Paragon armours; maybe another 120ecto&120shard armour type but only gotten from Underworld.

Elite armor used to have value till an update changed everything and people started farming 100k+++. I'd like to see a new type of armor be worth more, but to make any sense of it, it has to be beside the point of money and "earned" by real players... NOT farmers.

You want something that is really elite? Make an armor that can only be obtained by vanquishing an area without any healing/stances/enchants and you can't wear any armor while doing it. And you must kill a foe every 1 minute or you have to start over. And if you die once you have to start over as well.

Also an armor where if you ever equipped Shadow Form or Ray of Judgement or made an imbagon on your account (you or heros, even if you didn't use any of them) you can't get it, you have to make a new account.

Just because you can't farm the mats in 1 day doesnt mean its impossible to get... you atleast have to put some kind of work in. Its not going to just fall into your lap.

Agreed. At the point where I decided I was going to seriously go for FoW armour, it took me two-three months of fairly casual play to actually get there (made the commitment right after the Canthan new Year, got it on the weekend of the April update). I started off with about half the wealth required to get it, but that extrapolates to about half a year.

And that's without going into FoW or the UW directly (don't like permasins and the guild isn't exactly the most active in the game nowadays) except for the trip in which I actually acquired the armour (in which I then proceeded to clear it).

My average daily playtime during those months was probably less than two hours.

You just have to keep down your expenses in the meantime, engage in reasonably lucrative activities (I swear I heard a "What? YOU AGAIN?" when the Zaishen bounty for the Darknesses rolled around...), set reasonable "buy under" price limits for shards and ectos and drop into the trading districts occasionally to see if anyone is selling for under those prices.

i still think custom insignias(designs on the armor, not insignias as they are now) would be a great idea. formatted the same way as designing a cape. and there should be certain design unlocks for either a title track or type of armor (elite, faction, title-based, 1k, etc.)

The days of "prestige" armor are pretty much behind us. I agree with the rest of the thread about picking the armor that looks right for you, elite or not... but this is an interesting idea. A few pieces of male armor (derv norn, warrior platemail) have goofy-looking animal faces on the chest. I wouldn't mind being able to put a different design on instead.
