When I first saw this, I thought it was a good idea, but the more I thought about it, I changed my views and I think I am totally against the idea. I can see people's point that they want something to show off for their hard earned XP. I can see that people want something like this because they feel "cheated" since PvPers have emotes for rank. I think of it like this: If this ever goes forward, PvPers then have two remotes. One of the easiest and fastest ways to gain XP is through PvP. So PvP players will have both the Xp emote and the rank emote (if they have enough fame). Of course that will leave PvE still one short. People will still complain. A bigger problem will be the "discrimination". People complain about the rank discrimination all the time, and this would add a similiar degree to the PvE side. I can see it now where some person who is well experienced can't get in a group or form a group for some mission/run because people would be too egotistical and only ask seek those players that can flash some fancy XP emote. If something like this goes down, it will change the views of the game as more "experienced" dependent. I believe someone had mentioned before, that THAT is not ANet's intention, hence the low level cap. I like to view myself as a very well experienced players and have been around since the days of Prophecies then Factions and now Nightfall and I find myelf pretty well rounded and knowledgable in all aspects of the game and wouldnt be affected by any of these "problems" that I have mentioned because I'd easily be able to sport these proposed emotes on all 6 of my characters. However, even though it would be a benefit to ME, I am one for equality no matter if you have 20 million XP on 10 different characters or only 500 XP on 1. If they are gonna award people for XP, I think there should be a better way and solution.

XP is something very variable... you can either farm a lot for it or gain really few with full human parties.
In GW is something somehow secondary.

This could be cool. It really depends on what interval you get the emotes and what the emotes are.

i as well thought this was new---oh well :P
/sign for giggles, as it is kinda late to be suggesting something like this at this time, but wouldn't hurt to add it in the near future...
ive always wanted to see some sort of fun pve emote, but more specifically titles with exp tied in with age, as age is somewhat important in determining one's experience when spoken about. but emotes are always a plus! maybe two emotes (age/exp) can interact with each other if they are both max or both extremely low?
i always thought it would be funny to walk around with a new char and have the title "Newb 1" under me for exp or age to let everyone know i was a big Newb XD---but that's MY humor, not necessarily anyone else's

We have already had this conversation.
Experience may mean nothing in GW.
A character may have all 1170 skills without reaching level 20.

Emote? I rather would see a players 'virtual level' based on the amount of XP they have.

Imo emotes are for pvp, not for pve.
And you could easy farm experiance for the emote for some professions (monk for example), but its alot harder on some other to (paragon for example).

How about just a title? I think that would be better before - I think emotes really should just be for the tombs players. Sorry.
I'd like to see a Title for total experience, and for Total Balthazaar Faction myself.

Idea fails horribly, people rank spiking because they have 55 farmed with scrolls shows no skill at all. No thanks. Hell bots could obtain max rank before players if they arent banned first

I'm on like 7 mil on war and 3 mil on 55 and under 3 mil on ele so yeah why not be rewarded (even though survivor will not make you do much and is to restrictive to gameplay)

well im my 10 month old ele i have gotten around 6 mil exp.
a tiny minute bit of that was from farming as im not a big farmer.
maybe a title for exp, maxing at around 5-10 mil.
maybe with an aura around it as somone said for each level of title.
also making it account wide, would be best if it did come in, as it you have 8 chars with 250,000 or 1 with 2 mil its the same

While I'm all about some new emotes, I'd rather have RP-friendly ones like /shrug, /cry, etc. How often are you going to flash /XP around? Nobody but the flasher is going to care. Besides, where's the cutoff? Make it too low and the farmers have it in the bag. Make it too high and everyone quits helping/running/doing missions and quests to begin the slow, painful grind.
Also, mindlessly farming using builds you saw on Gamependium/Youtube/the old Guildwiki don't neccessarily make you any good at the game. XP's not hard to get. All the inevitable rank elitism would only shut out casual/new players who haven't devoted that much time to a boring grind but might still turn out to be awesome.

though a pve emote would be nice,
/notsigned
there are far better things than experience for which to grant an emote. then again, almost everything related has its own title, so originailty is wearing kind of thin at this point.
