hero armors like pvp chars
i looked through the index of ideas and i didnt see this, but if it was there and i missed it i apologize.
-My idea is to make all hero armors and weapons similar to that of pvp chars. They can use whatever runes, insignias, and weapon mods you have unlocked, and they can be changed any time your in an outpost.
i dont know about you guys, but i like to switch around my heros builds every once in a while just to mix it up. But whenever I want to try a new build with my heros it usually requires switching some runes or weapons around which can become fairly expensive.

Not a bad idea, but not one that will get implemented. The time it would take to recode everything woule be insane. They'd have to remove the ability to salvage the hero armor/weapons so you can't get free Superior Vigor runes, etc. for yourself. And since hero armor can't be destroyed, it isn't hard to salvage the runes off and change them. May take time and storage space, but it isn't required, but it is available. The current system provides a money sink. People spend money on runes/insignias for their hero armor, they spend money on weapons and weapon mods, and even if they are using things that drop, by placing those items on a hero, it is being removed from the game.
Money sinks are good. If the ability to salvage hero armor wasn't as it is, I'd /sign instantly. But since this just makes it easier to do what we already can, I'll be happy even if nothing is done.

I suggested the same thing ages ago, not sure if it was put into the index you speak of.
But alot of comments from the community were either this
"Good idea /signed"
or
"Are you too poor to be able to afford hero stuff? /notsigned"
I think i got more of the /notsigned ¬_¬

The point is, allowing this for PvE as well...

It's a pain when you wanna outfit all your characters in the right gear, but then they have like 20 heroes on every char you have, it gets a bit overbearing.

It would be convenient, but you can just salvage runes and insignias off of hero armor without too much trouble. The majority of runes aren't even very expensive.

This seems very reasonable. Runes can be pricey and several people have multiple armor sets, each with different runes. And hero builds are changed a lot. To change the runes you have to salvage it off or overwrite it with a new one. That's money in the garbage if you ask me. So it makes more sense to just let us use whatever runes we've unlocked. Skills work that way for heroes, why not runes?
Evil_Eye: Not everyone uses heroes in PVP. In fact the only time they do is hero battles which are pretty much dead due to the attention they need. PVE heroes get the same skills that have been unlocked on your account like in PVP, why not runes too? And I don't see how this would make PVE easier, just more convenient.
