I must add thet my wrist sounds like a rattle thanks to the constant clicking that I only do while ID in GW.
Yeah, it's the onkly place where I have to do so, anywhere else I use keyboard shortcuts and things like that.

/signed, I id my whites as well and it takes a rather long time so I just have a superior id kit in every single bag so I don't have to put my cursor over a bag to id an item in a bag different than the one the id kit is in.

Sounds like a wonderful idea! I do a lot of farming, and having to manually identify each item definitely wears me out after a while >_<

I can't believe how lazy people can be. And aren't you having fun when you're ID'ing stuff to find out what the stats are? Doing them all at once takes the fun away.

My doctor do not say the same.
"User-friendly" is usually the same as "Lazy friendly". But more importantly, it's HEALTHIER.
Do you want to hear a .wav file with the sound of my wrist? IT's not fun. It hurts.
GW is the ONLY game where I'm force to double-click so much. In other games there were always automated systems, like Cain in Diablo.

As you suggested it, no. But if you could ID one bag at a time, THAT I would use. What if you want to sell some unidentified stuff, you don't want to ID it all and then you'd be back to ID click ID click again. But if you coudl ID only a bag then you could prevent that. Oh and I ID whites too, it really helps. If you can't do that then ID click ID click.

that might work the same way the merching process work, you could check/uncheck the bags where you can ID the items

I'm sure this has been around before but I will say YES PLEASE once again. This feature if it were able to be implecated would be awesome.
How about if you are carrying an identify kit in your inventory a once click on any unidentified item automatically identifies the item and takes 1 point off your identify kit.
Then you could just go through and one click identify each item without causing wrist destruction.

At first I was going to /notsign because this IDing doesn't bother me but this idea is quite good. I would use it and it wouldn't be hard to implement. /signed.

I think this won't exactly happen because the game probably still wnats you to choose what to ID.
Say your ID kit has one left and you happen to pick up a blue item before a gold, now most people would want to ID the gold item but that won't be possible if the auto-ID does the blue first.
Plus there's the function of no IDing during or shortly after combat this would change that.

I just don't get comments like this... it's a game, not work. If there is something in the game that makes it less fun then it should go. Frankly, RSI makes things less fun. It takes time away from playing, and is completely unnecessary. Laziness has absolutely nothing to with it...if I weren't quite as lazy as I am I would probably do something OTHER than play computer games...

I wouldn't mind if GOLD UNIDS had a gold-colored background in the inventory instead of having something auto-identify for us. This way with just a smack of the f9 key, I can see all the GOLD UNIDS I got in my inventory. Will make ID'ing them easier too!

honestly, i think an earlier poster nailed it with the whole having it as a merchant function idea.
really, just have a button that says "ID all" with the price at 5-6g per item ID'd. that way you could check/uncheck boxes to ID (already built into the merchant system) and there's no extra clicking involved.

/Signed. I really love this idea. it's time-saving, and wrist-saving, for anyone who suffers carpal tunnel.
Really, there's no reasonable reason not to want this...
