Default Stances while KD'd

Why can stances be activated while the target is KD'd? Doesn't make sense, you can't *stand* after all while your KD'd.

Tbh they shouldnt be able to active stances while KD'd.

You're right - besides, healing shouldn't take place "instantly" - after all, medically healing someone takes time. Plus, Decapitate should instantly kill someone because, I mean, if you slash off their head they should be dead! Don't get me started on sin teleports. I mean, this is so unrealistic!

You have no real reason in advocation of this change. Give a real reason.

It's a game and it has to bend some rules to make it fair and fun. Although you make a valid point that stances generally require a person to be standing, the point that this is a game stands way above all reason.

I actually kinda agree wit this, mostly because monks become a bigger pain in the ass cos of it.

Knockdown should end a person's stance, because they are no longer standing amirite.

Besides if it was changed, then how can monks activate balanced stance after eating a bull's?

You'd probably thinking of golf, baseball, etc. However, stance can be a mental skill, not from a physical skill (that still standing on the ground). The dictionary has several different definition that define stance.

It doesn't make sense when a monk is dazed after activated stance because dazed that effed up their mental and unable to cast spell or activate stance.

If i'm wrong, no pun intended bro.

I see what you're saying but I think there's no real issue with this, as said it's a game and is'nt realistic.

Some skills need to have somehting to make you bring them, shouts and stances both have instant casts, but generally have some kind of condiction or downside to make them balanced.

Just cos a monk can active a stance to stop you squishing it while it's KDed, don't mean stances need changing.

And nerf monks?

i just think your taking it to serioulsy, first i dont recall them saying its "realistic" and second how could you play as a monk if it take 6 mounths to heal some one?..

Meh, i understand that many people are against this idea... but maybe limit SOME stances. Like shield bash, because character DOES something. Limit that, so you cant use sb during KD. Maybe something like that. But im against making all stances like that. Frenzy lock would have got new description.

I agree to be honest. How can you be in a stance when you are KD?

I like the idea of KD ending stances too.

What effect it will actually have on gameplay is a different story.

If you have ever learn some martial arts you will know that there are ways to fall that lower damage to yourself, and allow you to dodge attacks and get back up quickly.

These stances can still remain active when knocken down as thje stance can be used while knocked down.
Take lightning reflexes for example: You will still have super speed reflexes while knocked down on the ground and quickly be able to roll of the way of a hammer blow.

Shock should only deal 2 damage.
Lightning Bolt should deal 3.
Now be quiet and stop wanting GW to be realistic.

I don't think voicing a mantra has anything to to with your position. Look at the Mesmer mantra's, they are all stances too.

promotes preprotting. Makes sense to me.

Just because there are other things that don't make sense doesn't mean this one can't be changed. Wtf is with the All or nothing attitude?
