You are comparing this to a MoP nuker in an all human team right?
And even if you do end up using minions (on your SECOND party necro), you are probably going to look into Fiends with the damage Ebon Ward (which also benefits your Imba).
There is some crazy ass shit in this game, and even if you buff DN in this fashion it doesn't push it over the edge.
That's why I don't have any issues with the change.

You're acting like tank n spanking elite areas is the only part of PvE. Yeah, of courser a MoP nuker is going to do a lot more damage in physical heavy parties with a tank. But for general PvE and playing with h/h, a minion bomber is subpar to very little, really.

DN is viable in it's current form.
The same way that Terras are compared to SF.

Minion Bar is less likely to happen.
/signed
Until then, this skill is used to it's maximum potential ONLY by Heroes.

ofc, we all did try it, main reason why people don't play a mm is because its so boring tbh

Just bring a skill to destroy minions such as Putrid Flesh.
Cast Death nova, Jagged Bones if you have that kind of build, and then destroy the minion with putrid flesh.

Why take a hero MM over Human, Main reason? Death Nova, this way it's actually a viable and useful choice.
And a minion bar sounds more unlikely than a skill change

Do not be deluded into thinking heroes make better MMs than humans.
The reason the MM role is so quickly relegated to a hero is because it's a role they can manage with reasonable efficiency. We take advantage of their AI to create the Minion Bomber (a reasonably compact build with space for extra utility).
I would much prefer an OoU human MM on my team than a hero MB.
Death Nova in its current form is damn difficult to use efficiently for a human and in need of tweaking for optimal use on a hero.
Humans have a hard time keeping it on most of the minions or spotting which minion is going to die next and heroes just keep spamming the skill whilst doing little else until they're out of energy.
The suggestion in the OP would make the skill much easier for humans (though without reliable minion targeting still a bit irritating, but not so much) and would probably mean heroes spend more time performing the other tasks you've set them.
The actual damage done overall would probably be lower, but not so greatly I think. Heroes don't usually have DN on all their minions (I usually see the green circle on about 50-75% of the minions) whereas this suggestion would mean almost all of the minions will have it on them, depending on how the hero AI copes with it - I don't use D's Sorrow (which has a similar function) but I suspect it'd be good enough.
I don't know if this suggestion is a good or bad though. That is, I don't know how I'd take it or what the effects would be, if it were included in a skill update.

Death Nova: Enchantment Spell 10e 2c 0r For 10..25..35 Seconds, When Target Ally and All Allies in Area die, all adjacent foes take 5..38..55 damage and are poisoned for 1..5..8 seconds
Gives human the use to use it as an MM, damage is just a quick thought
Did a search couldn't find anything.

How about this:
Death Nova: enchantment spell. Leave death nova how it is, except when you use it as a human, automatically target the allied minion with the lowest HP.

I would be against that... because you would the loose the comedy factor of casting it on the lead tank (just to annoy them) during a Hm dungeon...... works with noob annoying players who shouldn't be in group and don't fit in....... cast it too many times on them............
