But i totally agree that more power over officers could just make things better for everyone (excluding untrusty officers of course)
I think there should also have an option to let members invite a guest(of course that member would have to pay for the nvitation) The guest then could apply for membership.
There's still so much work to do on guilds. Some games not centered on guilds even have more options than guildwars.
Ragnarok had a taxe system for guilds. Any members could share a set % of exp to the guild and then with more experience you could have special guild skills such as rent storage, more members and more defense to guild castle...

I agree wholeheartidly(i cant spell). The guild system needs work for it to be more enjoyable in my opinion. I just hope chapter 2 will bring some much needed improvements.

For the per-officer idea.

Isn't replacing "need" with "have to" kinda...not changing a thing...or if anything, lessening the emphasis for a "need"...?
Anyway, enough with being a smartass.
I do think it's a wonderful idea, and it's something I'd thought of in the past. There should definately be something like this, it's very similar to the way forums are set up and it works really well. Every guild is different, so it's only realistic that each guild might want their officers to be able to operate a little differently.

I like multiple ranks, say, 5 ranks in a guild. Only three ranks is somewhat limiting. Everyone in the guild is either a Peon, a Duke, or King. Why not allow Merchant, or something in between the cousins to the King (Duke) and the lowly commoners?
As it stands, allowing different officers different powers would be great. There should be a way for members to see who has what power, though.

i think maybe instead of it being for all officers, you should have a window for each seperate officer, you might trust some officers more then others.

I have a story of spite that lead to revenge then hatred then death. My guild has ranged anywhere from 60-100 members.About a month ago i caught one of my officers trying to recruit ppl to his guild he had just started. So i kicked him not knowing his best friend was an officer as well and had his password,he came back and kicked 70+ members.I waited a week or two and bought another account and joined his guild.Which in turn like a noob he made me an officer within two days. Then as you guessed i kicked everyone out and invited them to my guild.About a week later a friend of mine in another guild invited me as a guest in his guild and guess who i seen?Well lets just say i wasnt happy. So we did an unrated gvg battle between the guildes and my friend made his ppl set back watch us beat this guys char to death.
So if anyone has or sees darknesscrow crow or bull dogz steer clear they have the traitor trait!!!

If I remember correctly, you were the one that gave me the idea.

Getting commended by Pie is like getting crowned King of England by a lottery .
