I'd like to see more "mounts" along the lines of Junundu or Siege Devourers, ie the replace your skillbar kinds. Especially the devourers, since you can zone with those...

If I had to choose between map travel and mounts, I'd take map travel every time. Unless the "mounts" were mechanical in nature and Giant Robots in form with Laser Cannons, Grenade Launchers, Machineguns, Laser Swords, and Rocket Boosters, of course. Oh, wait, wrong game. No mounts in GW, please.

No need for mounts imo... I hope they still keep in some sort of form of instant travel in GW2

If they bring mounts in, I'd like them to feel "right". I used to love charging around on a Twon-Ha in Outcast, but I don't get a sense of anything much when I saddle up on (in) a Wurm or Devourer. Infact "saddled" is probably the word to describe the experience.

Mounts would just end up being a new minipets, that'd be as stupid as it is now. Batman has batmobile, maybe Anet should put that in as well.

Go one step further. Fighting from mounts. Epic PvP potential imo.

heres a thought. If you rode the donkey around could you then get off and pack it full of all the loot you find , thus allowing you can carry more than the usual 3 bags plus pouch (or whatever gw2 has). Then walk the donkey home with all your riches.
or better still multiple donkeys and a caravan! and you have to defend your caravan from people looting. imagine the big hauler ships in eve, but with swords, and charr..... i think i've gone off topic here.
back on topic, i agree that if we can't map travel then we'll need a faster way of getting around. I'd jsut rather not end up with something like in wow with the little asurans being forced to ride some mechanical chicken. Imo that is just stupid.

We don't need mounts in GW2.... we need CARS. Cars that run on magic goblin shit or mountain troll tusks instead of gas. Since GW is known for innovation it'd be perfect - the first non-subscription, competitive/c0-op, on-line game with cars and swords and magiks but no guns k

Mini-pet Gwen, which is Pre-searing Gwen.

I was thinking more on the lines of class specific and not just the generic "who can run to the power up thing".
+something actually new, not just "re-used" again...

Hmm, if they make mounts equal to another mount, so there is no "my mount is faster", then sure, lets have mounts. I'd like to choose my mount on looks, not on speed stats.

This is what I see coming from Mounts. If you think this looks good, and would want to use it, then I guess you would want Mounts in GW.
