Re-use Signets of Capture
Not exactly what it sounds like. I'm not talking about an SoC that lasts forever, I'm thinking something else.
Remember how neat it was to have two or more elite skills on your skill bar? I think it'd be interesting if you could still cap an elite skill from a boss and put it on your bar (as per usual SoC) but doing so, if you already have the elite skill, doesn't use up the SoC.
Basically, the point being to allow for that neat "multiple elites from skill capping" effect for people who've already capped that given skill.
Obviously this isn't as important as, say, getting seven hero parties, but it would be neat nonetheless.

It seems like a cool idea, but is probably way too hard to implement based on the current coding of the SoC, as well as multiple elite skills not pinging properly/removal upon zoning.

He's talking about capping a skill he's already capped before for the sole reason of being able to use another elite in that particular zone.
I think it's an interesting idea, but PvE is already easily steamrollable without two or more elite skills on your bar. Also, as stated above it might be difficult to implement...let alone a waste of time for Anet.

It would be nice but unfortunatly it makes a major gold sink that GW needs to maintain a healthy "economy" so really, it isn't needed.

I'm speaking about skills someone already has, not skills they haven't.

No XP every time. Just the skill, as a matter of fun. Remember that? Fun? Back before everyone was concerned about how fun might kill PUGs, or upset the economy?

No thank you, I have fun by playing the game, not looking for things to abuse. 2 elites on 1 skill bar is a bad idea. We can already do this, but only for limited duration. Giving us more options to do it would make people become worse at the game than they already are.

How about you bring this up again when permaSF doesn't make all melee useless, ER eles don't make monks useless, and 1/3 of the game's classes don't make the dervish useless?

well, even if what you said would be made by anet, i doubt any1 would use it... i mean, its unreliable, unpredictable, and mostly useless: how do you know the boss(if any, for starters), will be from your prophession and if the elite he uses will be any good without pre-researching it? i mean, its dumb.... well, thats just my opinion.

1). That makes no sense.
2). It would still require you to purchase skills from trainer and actually play the game, (being farming if you must), for the skillpoints.
Could you maybe explain more into detail? It is quite vague.
Are you asking: that if we use a Signet of Capture on a boss, and you already have the elite skill, we can still capture a regular skill from that boss? If so, it would still be a no.
The problem is it would not be logical, the SoC replaces any skill from the boss's bar. It would be like a free skill.

He wants a 'new' SoC so he can get 2 elites on his bar without using Arcane Mimicry. To be useful, you'd have to have a build panned on an elite available in the mission/explorable you'd be at, and be able to get to that boss with one skill short. Even so, it isn't needed, as 2 elites is against game balance, and we already have ways to do it, if short lived.

Imagine it... enter an area with 2..3 bosses of the same profession...
Better not...
Actually, instead of being replaced by that skill when the captured skill is an elite and you already have and elite skill, signets of capture should be replaced by another signet of capture if you have extra ones, or by an empty slot if you don't.

But with PvE skills you can have 4 elites on your bar already.

That would make the game easy (boring). And seven heroes isn't important because it's unwanted...at least by me.

Nah. Not beneficial often enough to worry about. Sure, I can have 4 Healing Prayers Elites in one area, but really, it's not even worth it then.
Once is enough for multiple elites on my bar =).
