Indeed. Those spamming "I look for a gf" in a trade chat would probably love it.

In some of the usually deserted outposts I sometimes see couples sitting together. I guess they might like this addition too. However for me this kind of entertainment should be kept aside from video game.

well, /notsigned for adding another title. Especially a stupid one.

Marriages in other games have certain advantages - usually something along the lines of teleporting one person to the other or hunting in party advantages. But you can't do that in gw.. you can't teleport into an instance and have more than 8 in your party.. you get nothing more or less when you hunt together.. so whats the point? simple roleplay? You can do that without an official marriage thing. Why would they even bother creating all this new stuff to get married when it doesn't even do anything?

Ultima Online is the only game in which I accet to have weddings.
Why? Because you can set a wedding banquet with entire roasted pigs and all.

But in all seriousness this doesnt effect gw economy, gameplay or improve it it anyway. If you wanna get married on the internet go to facebook or myspace and screw around over there. Dont come into GW. /Not signed

New armor skins for each gender/class for the wedding attire!

Aside from the temptation of new outfits, GW seems to be a very romance-free game as far as gameplay (the instances) and lore (exception being Mhenlo and Cynn xD) goes. I don't want to see marriages happening any time soon.

Besides. My Warrior is going to have hot, horny sex with Jora in order to ensure lots of reincarnations of me for GW2.
I don't need no ugly lvl 5 ele when I have Jora! <3

Jokes aside, GW just doesn't seem a good place for a romantic game. They tried with Mhenlo. They tried with Koss. But it all ended as a stupid sub-plot.

Don't get my wrong. GW's writers are AMAZING!
But they just simply don't excel at romance stories.
They DO, however, excel at making stories where we have any excuse possible to blow shit up with my sword and kill hundreds of innocent raptors

I'm all for it. It's definitely an odd idea, but it certainly wouldn't take anything away from the game. Also, you could have a title like, "Wife/Husband/Partner of Xx Fozzy Bear Xx" or whoever you marry.

It's funny how a grounded idea like marriage can receive such a strong, negative response. To those of you who are dismissing the idea because it is too "nerdy" - if you're posting on a guild wars forum, you probably play guild wars, and if you play guild wars that pretty much satisfies the definition of nerd. If that doesn't convince you, log on to GW and type /age - that number should tell you something.
