My ideas:
- big world
- mounts
- team arenas
- emotes should be nice ( ofc from PvP)
- armors that u can get just from PvP (from points from gvg etc..) - appearance should be the best
- a lot of pvp maps ( for GvG...)
And all I want the most is that to GW2 will be 80% PvP game.
I will post more if I will get more ideas.

there is one level to keep everything in balance... there is.
no levels.
that is right. no levels! not low lvl cap, not high level cap, not infinite level cap... NO LEVELS AT ALL!
in that case, game will be 80-90% skill based.
there would be other things that would show your character progression, like titles etc.
normally, level 50 hits lvl 1 once, and he is dead. in this case, skill is everything that matters! the way you play, your unique style and approach will mean victory or death!
and have you Anet guys thought about new approach to battle?
like real time action battle?
where you control the way you hit?
it could work like this
-there would be few buttons to click on your screen to hit in chosen direction
or
-you would just be clicking left and right mouse button wit combination with alt ctrl and shift to get unique attacks (it would all write in manual, or trough short tutorial, if any, or we will discover it on our own
or
-we would hold left mouse button and dragging the way we wanna hit, where some drags could mean complex attacks, or just AOE attacks.
this would bring more action to the game
salvaging dead corpses? you loot them, get loot screen, loot what tehy have on them self, all, including clothes, ofc we won't be taking all of that it is useless. but salvaging... we could get their teethes, heads, fingers (for quests) or hide....

More ideas of mine
Updating..and good that we think the same:
-I agree highly with duelling anywhere in the game.
-And im also thinking fighting while running and jumping around would make battles more intense then just move, stop fight and so on. Seeing that supposedly you will be able to climb trees, swim, slide on ice, you should be able to fight while doing that.
-A better death system, going back to an altar so far away is very tedious. And i would not like this to go to the ghost system, unless it is very good.
-More attack animatons. Ever notice how your character always uses the same animations?
-Specific Emotes. Emotes that you do to a certain person. Instead of XXXX hugs you for everyone in the area, it should be XXXX hugs XXXX
-THere should be tengu, centaur, harpies, heket, and surviving dwarves playable.
-THere should be more races..next post will continue my ideas

Here are some ideas of mine that I've been thinking of hat would make the game much more fun with guilds and just period:
No more fast travel:Sure i like it too since you go fast to one place from ANYWHERE, but its just a little too OP. Wouldnt you rather enjoy travelling through the game, discovering new things everytime you walk out of a city? I was also thinking of an alternative to fast travel. Transports such as
-Asura Air/Ground Vehicles.
-Ships travelling
-maybe mounts that will be slower than these, where you can actually fight on.
but still the transports like boats, etc should have random events occur, like mobs coming onto the carrier unexpected, leaving no journey safe.
Guild World Pvp:
Sure plain World Pvp will be in the Mists, why not have guild only World PvP on Tyria, to fight anywhere you encounter a warring guild, a popular concept in MMOs that are great for the game. But why stop here? Why not be able to conquer a minor town for your guild which can be fought over. Of course you must have only one per guild so one guild cannot just take over the world. Like cities bound to your guild hall, with exclusive priveliges, prisoners, soldiers, money at the max 50% of every NPC bought item. Unique Guild halls and custom guild halls, both would greatly add to this experence for guilds, so no guild would share a similar hall.
And so that is all i have for now..I hope this is seen.

-guild halls, but real guild halls, or even castles. Hall is hall, not something that is now in GW. Hall is closed room- i like this idea, but they purchase the terrain for their GvG
-make chat panel more interactive with more options (like quick ignore, display info of player, quick replay- agreed
-Level cap please!!! no lvl cap is crap imho- there is a level cap in GW1... but i think they should cap it from 30-40 range
-real-time Day/nigh cycle, please!!! in whole world, not in specific zones PLEASE!!- once again, realistic touch

-climbing!! on walls and trees!!- I'd say no more than 10, allows customization. That way not one person is using the same skills as another person
-make rogue/assassin kinda class be able to sneak and pickpocket, eaven unlock chests!- too WoW-like
-PLAYER OWNED HOUSING!! make it nice, small and enjoyable!- eww, Runescape
-and please, last thing for now. In GW1 when i have a character, and someone puts me on friend list, I change character and he knows that that is my character. Please, give us privacy!! I agree and disagree. Agree - gets you away from an annoying person. Disagree - if you are trying to sell something on Guru, but then the person trying to buy won't be able to know when you are on.

EDIT:
some of the ideas people are having are wanting GW to be too much like other games (mostly from WoW or RS). that is kinda taking away from GW and making it a cookie cutter game. People should want a game that is unique, not like the rest...

If it's good, why does it matter if it isn't unique?
As for the day/night cycle, shouldn't be real time. Instead, do it like every hour~2 hours or so.

nice way of quoting.
anyway, Anet, about level cap... or no levels at all, or a level cap. one of those things, infinite or very high lvl crap is crap imho. or no lvls or lvl cap. (no levels better )
Player owned housing FTW!! =)
and just for that idea of asuran flying/ground vehicles that someone mentioned... emmm.... vehicles... i don't think so. I mean, something that is in touch with GW culture OK, but i don't think vehicles are in touch with GW culture.
they'll keep map traveling. they already said they gonna keep some key features from GW1, and this is what it is....

1 hour /2 hours... to fast and unrealistic. that means GW planet goes around the Sun or at very high speed (which is really really fast... too fast, i don't know if that exists) or GW world is too close to Sun, meaning it would be fried already.
Earth is right in an area where life is possible. so fast day cycle means that GW world isn't at that right point. that means that it is too close to Sun, or is moving at a tremendous speed, almost an impossible speed. and if it is moving at that speed, it means GW world is huuuge, or Sun is really huge. and if it is huge, it is really hot on GW world.
but anyway, I am not sure if this is 100% right, but still it is completely unrealistic. one day = 24 hrs
anyway it is just a game, but i just wanted to point out the fact of unrealism
in 2hrs day cycle

so everything has to be unique??? i don't think so because with this philosophy, games would already die... if you don't understand me.... so there is AH in one game. it is cool. other game doesn't because it isn't unique anymore. so the game lacks of features. simplified....it sucks.

if they are going to go with no levels at all, they should have a way to see how much of the game people have played.
maybe peices of armor (not weapons) that are ONLY receivable from harder/end-game instances. maybe armor sets? I know it sounds WoW-ish, but it could really make a difference.
or an "Observe Character" option. You can rightclick on the person or /observe CHARACTERNAME and you can see what missions/instances they have completed, when their character was created, how many enemies killed, what skills they have equipped (easier than pinging), etc.
You don't want to group with a person and not know how much of the game they have completed.
an Observe Character option and higher instanced armor would all other players to see how experienced/commited a person is to their character.

that's right. Like, your hit/miss ratio or evading skill, explorer, gladiator...
if combat will be like in... God of War... or AoC ...real time combat... then dodging, evading, missing, hitting would have to be controlled by character, not an automated skill by computer...

yeah a way to ''inspect character'' that shows everything from gear over titles to accomplishments
but not right click... something more complexed should be introduced... you click on char or char icon and you get pop out with options like invite, whisper, observe (inspect) and so on

My wet dream for GW2...
...is that they use the Crysis engine:
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/18588.html
It takes care of most of my gripes with GW1 (e.g. no day/night cycle and the lack of dynamic lighting, the limited motion) and just imagine the spell effects which could be made with that physics engine!

I tried to read through most of this, but skipped around, so if it was suggested already....so sorry
Anyway, I'm old school and miss a lot of the concepts that were in say....UO. The fact that you could go and mine, chop tree's and up your % on using the skill......creating items, digging up treasures.....whatever you wanted. Even though many people hate crafting and are completely against it, but it gives people an alternative when they're bored. Balance and make it optional and another way to customize your character......perhaps something that lends itself to title awards.

here is the article i found on mmorpg.com
now, the point of this article is to tell Anet what MMORPGs used to be, what are they now, and how to awake real mmo genre. the fact is... they are not what they used to be... no.. not anymore... game developers are saying ''next generation MMO''. Shub it up your ***! what used to be good are old 90' MMO games....
I am posting this here, to help improve GW, and to help create a good MMO, which lacked in MMO genre for a long time now. But since GW1 was IMHO closest to what MMOs used to be (instancing was lame and no good PvP it sucked)
so read it Anet, think. you look like a company that cares about ppl who play your games. Now, lets show that it is true.
NOTE!! WHAT YOU WILL READ NOW WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ME!
Quote:
Just got done with HGL. It plainly sucked - it was instanced (not an MMORPG) and just boring and repetitive. It sucked as a shooter, not just as an MMORPG.
I hear tabula has quests and levels, two things I despise.
Games these days cater to a crowd that cannot survive without a beaten path in front of them - being pushed and coddled along the way to an endless cycle of gear/level grind.
How did this happen? What happened to the fun times we all had in shadowbane and other MMORPGs? Even runescape has better pvp than half the online games these days. I applaud WoW for AT LEAST allowing us to kill alliance on pvp servers. Although the battlegrounds have practically ruined any chance for meaningful pvp - and killing an alliance player really causes little damage to them.
I just feel like I'm playing with a bunch of 10 year olds, rather than developed gamers. Maybe times have changed, and I haven't. I look at friends who were introduced to MMORPGs through WoW, and are quitting the game because it has stolen their time and left them with no good memories. If only I could have shown them the old MMOs, maybe they'd understand why I play EVE. Are people really happier playing carebear MMORPGs? I hear a resounding 'no'. Enter random teamspeak/ventrilo servers, listen to the misery and frustration of EQ2 and WoW players - you'll see what I mean.
Unfortunate that there are so many carebears these days - they can't fend for themselves like an 18 year old who has been dumped by his parents into the harsh working world. They can't survive ridicule and harrassment, running like children to the feet of GMs who will readily step into the game world and yank an 'evil' character out. They will conglomerate and clog the sewers of shit that are all heading in the same direction with the same meaningless purpose.
Gone are the days when you had to watch your back
Gone are the days when you had to fight hard to survive
Gone are the days when you had something to lose
Gone are the days when evil could exist
Gone are the days when your enemy could chase you behind city walls (and take them over)
Gone are the days when you fought for your friends, and jumped from your chair when victory struck
Long gone are the days of the warrior
Soon all the players who have played MMORPGs before 2000, will no longer be here to offer their experience and knowledge to the new generation - who will spend their time in a long, long instance; only to emerge with a single item that has a higher numerical value, then head straight back into that instance.
It was fun the first half of my MMORPG. I've met a lot of good chaps who've left MMORPG gaming for good, and I'm afraid that I will be too. There's just too many good games out there - and I'm not wasting my time on another stupid MMORPG (besides EVE, lol).
Flame away, tell me how much better MMORPG's will be without me. You're absolutely right; I have no place in your dreamless, creativity-devoid, levelling treadmill. Maybe I'll accomplish the task of telling one MMORPG rookie that things can be better - before they abandon this genre.
If this post is a waste of time, and being critical in general is a waste of time (democracy, anyone?), then adhere to your own philosophy and ignore this post rather than wasting your time trying to dismissively defeat my argument. If you have something that is constructively critical about anything I have posted, then I am all ears!

I can name one thing I do not want in GW2: PvE only skills.
I play pretty exclusively PvE, and I find the PvE skills ridiculously overpowered, to the point that I've stopped using them. Skills like Necrosis (click button every 2 seconds to do 80 damage to all enemies in the area) are, to me, frankly insulting.

Hi, As I'm a almost a PURE 100% PVE Player, I think there should be levels, so there would be always something new to achieve...
I also love the idea of mounts and player owned house's even if they are not
''100% original, THEY WORK!''
In player owned houses we could put monster heads in walls, like when you kill a monster you could put it's head on the wall so everybody can see which monster have you killed.
You could also stuff animals/monsters and show them in your house..
And when you store your minipets and heroes in Hall Of Heroes they could be statues in your house, right?
Another idea I thought of is that in GW2 ''we are the son/daughter's of the heroes'' (not literally) as the final cut-scene in Guild wars Eye of the North said, something in these lines ''new children of the hero must rise to destroy the evil''
Well that could mean that our Guild wars 1 character's could be in Gw 2 as ghosts or something, or there could be even something that tells about our old characters like books... (we are legends remember?)
There could be towns/outposts named after us, and there could be statues of our Guild wars 1 characters...
It would be sweet when my Water Guyy's ghost would come to aid me like Vizier Khilbron aids us in prophecies campaign..
and I would be proud of a book that tells legends about it, when my Gw1 character charted all the continent...
Tell me what you think!
And sorry about my english ;D
