I agree with you in that if I'm in a party and fighting I don't want to be distracted. But that is part of the reason I would like some sort of visual indication on the tabs. It would free me up to concentrate on the mission/quest/battle at hand and when finished be able to, at a glance, check and see if I've missed anything in chat without scrolling up to look. Ideally this would be an option that you could turn on and off.

I know not who to E-mail, or any other way to let the creators of Guild Wars know this. So I’m posting it here, in the hope that someone who can do something will see it.
Only 1 Simple Request from me from a long time player.
*Please consider when you’re making Guild wars 2, to make it possible to link more than one account to the new Guild Wars 2 account, even if it can only be done when the Guild Wars 2 Account is first created.
I have been a fan form the start. After filling up my 4 character slots (that’s all there was back then) I get a second account so I could make one of ever class (6 at the time) and have been paying the price ever since. Because the Character slot extensions only came a lot later (just before Night Fall if I remember).
So I have been buying two of ever game so I keep all my Character up to date. This is not a bitch, just a plea that you won’t forget us Veterans, and if all possible let us finally get all your characters into one account when Guild Wars 2 comes along.

na-ah! wrong! If you don't have potions, you can still win. Do you know why? because you are a part of a team. a team who helps you! so you won't need to consume potions!
teamwork is something that lacks in GW! this will make players think! ''I don't have a healing potion. Hmm... I better stay in group!''

I have been playing the Fort Aspenwood competitive mission a lot lately and have noticed places in each sides outposts that you can see the battlefield from. I always thought it would be cool to be able to look down there and see one of the matches going on while you are in the outpost. So my suggestion is an improved observer mode where players can enter an outpost that surrounds a pvp map and watch the match in real time. Maybe this isn't possible, but i think it would be very cool to be able to observe and cheer for the players etc. I did do a search for a similar idea and came up with nothing.

Yes it is still POSSIBLE, but you are STILL at a DISADVANTAGE. If the other team has twice as much Health, Energy, Attack power, etc. as you, because they have a bag load of potions and you don't, you will be at a major disadvantage. The game should be based on how well you play, not how much better the other person's stats are. That's what makes Guild Wars pvp better than other games. Getting rid of that would ruin what Guild Wars is.

listen dude! 60% of my entering in random arenas, a member leaves before the start! in additional 10% of cases 2 members leave!! and in additional 5% of cases, i am alone! And trust me, i count, because it is so annoying, that only counting helps you not to get pissed of. And you know what? I keep going! 1 on 4 and I will not die until I kill at least one of them! never! I am in disadvantage, and I will still go on. why? because I know that I can kill one of them!
so no matter i how big disadvantage you are, you can still do something!

Random arena LMAO.
And even in RA, it is still skill based, not item. Whether you win or not in there is more about skill than the other persons' stats.

2 handed swords definitely
and PLEASE make the norn bears look like the bear on the eotn box, not the scrawny, werewolf looking bear currently in gw. It would be best if it also didn't use standard weapons, but had those huge armored claws shown on the concept art.

That still doesn't explain why an advantage for casual play should be added. Potions reward hardcore-grinders (who meet other rewards allready) and eBay'ers. Adding potions to gameplay would turn GW into a casual-unfriendly game.

I don't get the point..... If healing potions restores 10-20% of your HP, it is enough to help you run away from mobs in PvE. In PvP.... it is useless, It will make you live few more seconds. the problem is, that you don't think taht šotions should be rare..... not often...

Dont know if I already mentioned this, but please make GW2 100% soloable. Add some kkind of incentive to encourage pugging, but please let me be able to solo whenever I want.
TY.

- In PvE, potions only delay the decision to withdraw.
- In PvP, living a bit longer often has a huge impact on the outcome; resulting in "the rich" mostly beating "the poor".
- If potions would be rare, only the rich could afford them.
- If potions would be common, the rich would have much more of them.
What's not to get about the fact that potions create a bottomless gap between the rich hardcores/eBayers and the poor casual players?

The potion i'm talking about aren't just something to give you a few more health when you are almost dead. I'm talking about things that give you damage buffs, defense buffs, higher pool of energy, health and more. If you stack a bunch of all those things on you before a fight, you have a much better chance of winning. I would rather have everyone on equal footing without having to go spend money to do so. My skills vs. your skills. The person that uses all those potions and wins, didn't win because he was better than you, he won because he has better stats.

Something similiar to Elder Scrolls IV. that game set a huge benchmark for RPG's with the level of immersion and possibilities, so maybe dropping some of those into GW2 would be nice?
the new crafting: (mentioned recently)
alchemy,
potions!
Armor Crafting with Abilities built in
the ability to make YOUR OWN armor. stupid armor crafters.
WEAPON CRAFTING!
and more in game Lore. the story is so deep, i wanna be able to read it! which leads me to
BOOKS! (also in ES IV.) literally hundreds of books with near 10 pages of text each... anyways, my 2cents. blargh

If you are smart enough, and have a good strategy, it will only make you not die!

that is true.... but on the other hand.... those who are rich may not outsmart the poor one. resulting in the smart one outbeating the not-smart one.
In other MMOs who have potions, in PvP, potions do not show a safeness to pro gamers. because they know what to do....

no. If they are rare, no one can make them, they can only be a drop. that means that you will think twice before using it. in both PvP and PvE, making your concentration fall down, making your potion has no result. But if you are concentrated....

as I mentioned, the ''poor'' one will find the way to beat hardcore potion user.....

that is true. however, there is a major and easy solution...
potions should be categorized... in 5, 3, 2 or even 1 single category.... meaning, potions buffs are unstackable if they are from the same category... so choose wisely which potion you will use for each occasion...
this solution is so simple, and present the final solution to potion buffs.

Why not start selling/dropping temperal tonics? The tonic has two drinks/swigs/gulps/whatever you call it, one swig takes you to GW2 the other takes you back.
i also think that there should be big banks which you can enter instead of shabby little storage boxes maned by what looks like a dying hooker....please give me ideas.
