Buff mysticsm
It happened with my pets thread, so I'm hoping it'll happen with mysticsm.
I propose a buff to mysticism so that we're given a viable reason to be a Dervish.
I'm sure I don't need an argument when the hundreds of other threads are complaining Dervishes are outclassed by all the other professions.

I was thinking the same thing, because you really want to maintain your enchs anyway maybe gain half the energy upon being enchanted and increase the amount of energy gained anyway.Or make it reduce the cost of dervish enchs and attack skills.

Mysticism doesn't really have any reason to be buffed in my opinion... seems fine how it is.

Well...
a) As has come out through other threads on the subject, there are apparently Dervish primaries that don't use Mysticism at all.
b) There is a strong feeling that the energy-management qualities of Critical Strikes provide a superior benefit to Mysticism (let alone the extra damage from Critical Strikes compared to the trivial healing provided by Mysticism).
This creates an analagous situation to that Ritualists faced a couple of updates ago - where the most effective Ritualists tended to be Necromancer primaries, and where even those pure Ritualists there were out there tended to dump Spawning Power anyway. These are warning signs... and I'm not even mentioning WE W/Ds.
As for fixing it, I'd probably be looking at the following:
1) Give Dervishes a playstyle that encourages enchantment juggling more than the profession does currently.
2) Tweak Mysticism so that it at least matches Critical Strikes for energy if a Dervish is making significant use of enchantment-juggling. (If the character is just using a scythe as a weapon and not using other Dervish features, I see no problem with an A/D or a W/D being superior, as such a character effectively is a Warrior or Assassin who happens to use a scythe.)

No. Just taking part in the qqing to raise demand.
Anyways, Mysticsm should activate when enchantments are re-applied. Or having something like a 2 energy bonus whenever you cast an enchantment spell could really help e-management.
The biggest thing of importance though is to update the skills though.
Skills like Balthazar's Rage can be much more improved, as well as Heart of Holy Flame.
The primary effect doesn't need to be too good if the skills are good. In other words, make mysticism more like strength.
While at it, kicking Zealous Vow to Mysticism and making it a skill might be good to give Dervs their own WE.
Pious Fury could also use a buff. Extend the duration to 15 seconds for pve to give dervs a reliable IAS??

This actually raises an interesting question...
Those people who've said they don't want to see Mysticism become more important because they prefer to use other attribute lines... are you using Wind Prayers just for Zealous Vow, or for other skills as well? In other words, would shifting Zealous Vow remove this objection?

If Mysticism is buffed and worth using, I'm sure it would be convenient to not have to invest in wind if you only plan on Earth/Secondary attr, Scythe, and Myst.
Though I cannot lie. I am an earth prayers fan over wind prayers. A lot of wind prayers needs to be reworked.

What dervishes could use most is a way to draw enemies near and keep them close.
They shine in the middle of crowds.
Some kind of drawing vortex... like making enemies in the area a bit closer any time an enchantment is cast, and make them a bit slower when they are adjacent to the dervish so they can't run away.

It's not mysticism that needs to be buffed, it's the skills in it.

Mot Mysticism skills are the best skills Dervishes have.
But they thing is that they are all quite caster-like, so when a martial weapon user picks the scythe, they will always be better than a caster using it.
Dervishes need something martial-friendlier than a caster bonus.
