Exactly. And Elementalist players should learn that they aren't a damage class in PvE. If an Ele player doesn't realize that by the time they start Hard Mode, they aren't very good.

I never thought this was a problem on my ele, and I usually run her attributes at 14 or below. If you're running 19-20 in your main attribute (easy enough to do with nowadays' skills/consumables) and still have damage issues, then consider bringing Intensity or "By Ural's Hammer!" to boost your numbers. Stack them together if you must. If that's not enough then I'd say you probably just don't have the patience for Hard Mode.

Also, Obsidian Flame also works wonders.
