Any reason why? Rangers aren't meant for high damage, this is only going to promote R-Spike, which is a gimmicky piece of shit that should have died out years ago.

Power shot is already seeing play on glass arrows rangers in gvg.
With sundering/penetrating spam I don't even know why you want another similar attack.

It's fine for PvP
However definitely not fine for PvE
I'd definitely /sign for a PvE only buff. It's currently worse then Penetrating/Sundering in ALL aspects in PvE. I'd like to see them buff the damage or reduce the recharge down to, like, three. I'd prefer the latter

It's a basic damage attack for rangers, it's no different than Flare for Ele's, Power Attack for warriors...etc, no one has been wanting Flare or Power Attack buffed have they?

Power attack is strong enough as it is though. Quite the contrary, it's one of the most useful warrior skills.
Meanwhile, although flare is laughable, it isn't totally outclassed by other skills in all aspects.
Power attack should be buffed specifically because it's unbalanced so badly compared to the other basic skills.

That's because Flare and Power Attack have never been changed.

This. Completely redundant skills are bad.

I, personally, would love if they made it exactly like power attack for PvE.
The "Rangers aren't for damage" argument is actually kind of stupid since PvE is all about damage. Sure, you can do great support as a ranger. But I would like to see some additional damage.

Play something made for damage then?
My Warrior can't heal, and PvE requires lots of healing. Make it so Warriors can be amazing healers as well.

It seems that compared to when it was first introduced, the damage boost from Power Shot has been decreased by 5 across the board, but the activation time is set to where you can chain the attack after an attack with a normal cast time.
Seems okay to me.

I'm up for Rangers to choose to take a more damage oriented build in PvE so I wouldn't mind some PvE only buffs to lesser used/crap bow attacks.

Yeah because if you buff pve version to a +35 on marks 15 all of a sudden Ranger becomes the top DPS class in the game right ?. Omg Rangers can heal themselves with Troll Unguent ! nerf nerf !
/sarcasm
Kinda pointless the "power" part in PvE while there are other skills that have same bonus damage and lower recharge etc , therefore a big

Ranger
Rangers rarely ever get buffed or nerfed. last nerfing they did was PvP side with the scape rangers, and that did nothing simply coz pl just switched to flashing blades.
Power Shot is exactly what has been stated. a Core skill meaning it really has no generic value its just there as a starting skill till you learn better ones. As for Melandru's and Hunter's Shot, they need to keep it the way it is for PvP but revert it back to what its origonal context for PvE.
As for the guy that says ranger's are a suppport class i agree in almost all cases but one, so far from testing mass damage spiking builds from any class only 2 have been able to beat my damage spike on PvE side and thats a Spirit Spammer, and a Critical Sythe sin. other than that i dont see how the rangers cant have higher damage output. i mean really aren't they "masters of the Bow?" so if i were a master of a bow i'd be trying to land killing blows all the time, like head shots and such.
I'd sign for a genering all around buff for pve but in pvp rangers are starting to come out of the shadows and dominate. Not sure if its just the favor of the month or if its gonna be on going, wont know till casters start to dominate again or the genering wammo comes back trying to kill a 55 eh?

I find it sad that I have to spell this out.
Rangers are not designed to do heavy damage. You are wanting a skill buffed to give Rangers a role which they are not supposed to occupy. This skill buff will have no positive effect on the class and its intended role in a party.
Then again, lolpve.

Sins were never meant to be invincitanks, monks were never meant to tank through 55/600, all the melees are doing way (way) more damage than originally intended, Ele's were never meant to nearly surpass monks in healing/prot.. I could keep going on for a long time. Fact is, times have changed and the original design for each of the characters has all but been thrown out the window.
Ranger is one of the few classes that has stayed in its original role, and it's easy to see that they are very underpowered compared to other classes. PvE really just no longer has a place set for rangers, because the name of the game in 90% of areas is big damage with big healing. Giving them some damage options could actually give them a chance to be accepted back into general PvE.

Both of these skills have been buffed at least once.

Power creep destroyed Guild Wars. It shouldn't be encouraged.
