Leave the skeleton dhuums in uw even after halloween event is over.

What do other people in the playerbase think of this suggestion?

The only problem UWSC is still in play. They need to add some other skills such as Choking Gas so it will interrupt their spells.

Agreed, I think sf should have a place, and editing the skill bars of or adding enemies is much better than nerfing stuff. A change to an enemies skill bar or adding an enemy is simply spicing it up, nothing more.

I think leaving them in was kind of the point in the first place.
I doubt it will have a huge affect on Speed clears though it may slow them down a little. I know it doesn't seem to affect my ectos farming, just changes the method a bit.

But if they nerf UWSC, they'll have to change the dialogue of the HA assassin henchman. Far too much work for Anet.

If this is all they're going to do, it won't even damage UWSC much, let alone fix the real problem. Sure, UWSC is probably the worst use of SF, but there are many other ways in which it makes PvE a giant cesspool of shittery. There are only a few things ANet could do to solve the problem which would not involve changing SF:
1) Prevent anyone with SF on their skill bar from joining a party or entering an explorable area/mission
2) Permaban anyone who puts SF on their skill bar
3) Give monsters in every area of the game a skill that insta-kills SF users
Yes, any of these would be as good as nerfing SF. Your choice, ANet.

You may not like the tone much, but the post definitely expresses an opinion that moves the thread.
Anti-SF players are all out of patience when it comes to the issue. It was obvious to anyone with rudimentary knowledge of game mechanics that the buff to the skill was OP. The consequences were extreme and ANet has repeatedly refused to admit the error and revert. UWSC has been going on for over a year and a half now, and players broke most dungeons with SF well over a year ago.
His point is simple - half measures won't work. There's a long trail of changes to UW and changes to SF that prove that point. Hyperbole may not be the best way of making the point, but it does communicate it.
@ Trub - One can hope that some sort of productive, fundamental change will occur that both slows down the rate of ecto creation and provides new rewards that still incentivize people to play UW.

Yeah, let's permaban people for using a skill that isn't even close to being in an EULA gray area. Ridiculous options aside it has been pointed out many times before the biggest underlying flaw is monster AI. If it was just set up to avoid targets it can't possibly kill and recognized that all it was doing was missing most of the problems would go away. Attack skills that "penetrate all defenses" is an interesting twist but it's not the answer.
