While not necessary, I wouldn't mind a reward increase. Especially considering how BORING Sorrow's Furnace is.

the reward is a statue in HoM and maybe an unlock in gw2.

I'd be happy for some of the old content, which I do anyway, to have rewards that better suit todays game. /signed.

Shadow Form is the core problem. It discourages people from forming 8 player groups to beat any challenge these days. People would rather look for an SF-runner to complete a certain dungeon etc.

SF in Sorrows? lol never seen it yet since noone is ever there, I just hero/hench it..

But remember the old MM/SS days, ahh good ol days when those where the ONLY greens in the game (the place they originated from too)

But ya....exp for completing the quests is not worth it since its a lvl20 area anyways.

No. The reason people don't like to normally do dungeons, is no one enjoys spending the time to do them to get rewarded with a shiny rock or 2. That is why I dislike doing them, and I know several others that feel the same.

Not to mention as a lot have said elsewhere, grouping doesn't exist as much as it did in prophecies/factions because of how big the game is vs player base. It is more spread out across the world (of guildwars) than it used to be.

Blaming sf, 600/smite or heroes for the decline in grouping is not looking at the overall issue.

Not getting into discussion about in-polite players/afkers/up and leavers.

Tell us something we dont know . As i told you before , some "old" things ( like armour ) had to be updated to be even with the rest of the new things. All elite places give an statue like sorrow and some of them have bosses that may drop greens but sorrow and titans have no end chest . Saying no to an update for better just for no reason doesnt help anyone ...... but that update WILL help encouraging ppl to play those 2 parts of the game.

you obivously didnt read my whole brick of text, but anyways what is the insentive to making the reward bigger? Sorrow's Furnace isnt hard to do, has only gotten easier over the years, why make it more rewarding? will it bring new players? no, will it bring back old players? probably not. so why do it if its technicly not going to benefeit their company? new content must be NEW! not updated, not rehashed, and defiently not boring. to argue your "no reason" asumption, no one has a reason to replay SF even if there is a bad chest with bad items in it(who the hell wants more diamonds and q13 fire wands?). sorrow's furance isnt a dungeon, it isnt even an elite area anymore, why have an "elite" reward?

like i said, there is no point in adding this, it wont attract new players, not inticing to quitters/old players, takes time away from what could be "better" NEW content instead of working on completed projects. its not adding anything "new". we need to be focusing more on the future of gw(gw2) instead of trying to refresh old areas.

even if they did add a better reward, how long do you think it would take for D. War Camp to be a ghost town again? wasted time and resources. no one wants to play old content.

Well , like YOU said , it has a HoM statue so that statement is not true. A HoM statue means it has same lvl as other elite places. You could say that about Titan Quests but they have the "dungeon" feeling and can use an "update"

Like i told ya before ( and this is the last time ) theres no point in saying NO because you dont see a point in an update that can only bring something positive. Say no because its for worse or something bad will happen .... not this case.

instead of pointing out why you dont think im right, why dont you come up with a reason why they should.
are you going to put money in their game?
can be doubtful. ive come up with difinitive arguement, you havnt done anythign but try to discredit me.

the only positive(+, as in taking more time) coming out of this, is the time it takes to come out with something better.

btw those farmers on "old content" wouldnt be there without New Content. a clever ploy to have players log everyday.

so i leave this thread with these questions, why should they update it? you ignored that that fact it hasnt gotten any harder, why reward laziness?

Every time I hear about Sorrows Furnace I think to myself

'O yea I completley forgot about this place, I should go play there some time.'

After that I then forget all about it again. This is evidence they need to do something to repopulate SF again and make it unique. Once Factions was released the uniqueness of greens being in SF obviously decreased and people lost interest.

Make an end chest?
