Just buy some at a dye trader if it matters that much.

PvP players can open the HA and Zaishen chests, and get Zaishen coin rewards.
They can us those PvP rawards to get cash.
And then use that cash to acquire dyes from a Guild Hall trader.
PvP characters have the basic colors, but if you want more complex combinations, you'll have to use dyes like everyone else.

I guess that's why zaishen shit title is considered pve title.

pvp characters have as much use for dyes as pve characters, if not more - with observer mode, pvp characters can potentially be seen far more frequently than pve characters.

this. while there are differences in the necessity of weapon and armor mods compared to that of dyes, the argument from monetary value alone is not a valid one.

I don't see why not. Dyes are hardly game breaking. Yet.

I really don't care one way or the other, my pvp characters are all in silver armor, because that is the default color.
But what I want to know is why PvE players really care so much about it when they will never see a pvp-only character in any of the outposts. Don't try to say obs mode, because the only people that watch that are pvp players, even back during the XTH pve players still didn't care about obs mode.

Other high end items like what? Torms? Crystallines? kind of like the items already available as a PvP rewards?
To the people who say just buy dyes, u've obviously never PvPd before, with the amount of times you need to change armour to fit specific builds you would need hundred of dyes.

I shouldn't have to make a PvE char to look nice in PvP it would be the same if you had to use balth faction to purchase armour mods.

Look on the bright side, at least more PvErs would be making PvP chars

There is no downside for making PvP characters able to use black and white colors. Dye prices would not drop because PvE chars would still have to buy dyes. If the black and white dyes have to be unlocked, it would reduce the amount of people able to use them without dyes.
+ this

To me it sounds like a bunch of greedy PvE players that don't want to share black and white colors. Well get over it, PvP players can already unlock armors and weapons, why limit colors as well.
Black and White colors would not ruin the game at all, there is no reason NOT to allow them to be unlockable.

I think if it had any effect at all the r9 crystallines that cost 300 reward points (60 keys), and can buy them for pve for 350e+ would have more dramatic effect, or other rare skin weapons. Anet made the rest of the gwen weapons available for pvp (BDS r9 prot= 500e, silverwing r9=300e) they will insert that with the next update, or you want that removed also?I seriously dont get whats your problem with inserting black/white dyes into the pvp system.
I have pvp warrior and i got obsidian on him, on him i usually set 2 different armor sets (for ha and gvg), so you are telling me that i should buy 2 pvp obsidian armors and dye them both black?Dont go with the "make pve charr" because there i whould still have to buy the 2 obsidian armors(and no i dont want any other armor/combination of armors) and alot of other weapons that cost more from pve than pvp. SO WHATS THE BIG DEAL?

PvP Skins: The work on this is done. Joe miraculously resolved the two "show-stopping" graphics bugs with the EotN skins, implemented the price reductions and added support for ZCoins.

if you didnt believe it, i dont know if it comes with the update this week ( with the removing HB and TA) but it will come someday not far from now

Ironically enough I agree with that statement. There is no point in having unlockable weapons and armors in PvP.

That's where you're wrong. Part of PvE is obtaining an Elite Armors and rare weapons.

Your childish "I deserve this. Me me me me. WHY NOT?" tone really turned away my sympathy. If you want to contribute a good suggestion you should act more mature and be considerate of another point of view.
/notsigned for all-around free use, I guess /signed for unlockable dye options with tournament reward points or whatever they're called, for the people who might actually deserve the privilege.

I have only one perma pvp character, which is my ele. This guy is in all gray and he does his job well. I think the ability to wear the festival hats is enough barbie doll dress up for him( lol snowball AT's). He is in the business of killing and has over 1.3 million xp not the business of fashion. As dedicated servants of balthazar I think all pvp toons should be gray only.

I've suggested this 3 years ago.
Back then the intent was to provide a reward for having a large faction pool - my original idea required:
a single payment of: 50k Faction to unlock White Dye for PvP items
a single payment of: 100k Faction to unlock Black Dye for PvP items
Now I think there's one more important thing that NEEDS to be added to the PvP item creation panel - an option for NOT CHANGING COLOR when changing the upgrades on an item!
But still I'd love unlockable Black/White dyes for PvP as much as I'd love unlockable PvP Reward items - PvP chars should be used for rerolling a lot, I delete them and roll new ones all the time, I doubt many people buy so many character slots to have all professions PvP chars available if they do both PvP and PvE.

I don't see the big deal, yes they are rare dyes just make them unlockable at a higher cost of Balz points or something, or so many reward points. I don't see how it would affect the cost of dye anyways!, as stated by someone above

I dont understand why they care about aesthetics in the first place, if your gonna spend all these points on elite armors etc. why not just make a pve char?

because u cant change the inscriptions every time you need to, or if you do you are going to spend a fortune on inscriptions/runes every week or so.
Or if they add the option not changing the color of your armor like someone above me said i could easily go and buy dyes from pve, but every time i change a inscription on my armor the dye gets removed. Thats why i/we want one of those 2 options
