Hello,

For a while now I'll go to Zaishen Elite as and when I can to farm a Zaishen Key, now I know one Zaishen Key in 20 minutes or so isn't much but quite a lot of people still farm Zaishen Elite.

I try and farm every day as it's a free 5k for little work but sometimes I'm not around at the right time, for example if I do it at 6pm today I would have to do it after 6pm tomorrow or wait untill the next day as sometimes I have to work late!

So my suggestion is to make Zaishen Elite reset daily instead of every 24 hours as it would be much more convenient and may bring a few more people to do it as they won't have to make Zaishen Elite some sort of scheduled task!

By who's day?
This stuff is all server side. Your 6 AM is someone else's 11 PM the previous day.

No, keep it to 24hrs. That way no confusion arises and the system is completely clear.

If they do do this( and im all for it) i would suggest the time period anet favors(pacific standard time). That way they use teh time period they already use for all events and such, and you get to know that you have to always do it at XX time instead of w/e time u maxed out the day before.

Actually Anet generally uses PST, so it would probably be that. As for GMT, it is incredibly confusing because GMT is seperated from DST. Therefore in wintertime, the time in Greenwich is actually Greenwich Mean Time +1.

What confusion? they already have this in place for a lot of things (Z-Quests for example) and there is a lot less confusion due to the fact that everyone knows it changes over at X time instead of having to try and work out when you last logged into it and why you cant access it.

As for the timing, yeah, it should go PS/DT as that is how all the others are running.

A set 24-hour period for earning faction would be a lot easier to work with than whatever 24-hours-from-when-you-earned-faction system that might be in place now.

Would make sense, and wouldn't allow for abuse. If it reset at noon PST every day, that would mean you could only obtain the faction once a day still. Just gives more flexibility. And although it could allow for people to get double doses fast, it would still be the same amount each day. Wouldn't matter if you played at noon PST each day, or if you played at 11:30am, then again at noon that same day..... the total faction obtained would be the same.

no need to change it ...there are other things that need the attention of the few left to do things on gw1 ....this changes at the same time everyday so just get used to it.

No it doesn't but that's what I'd like.

It changes when the user wants it to but then having to wait 24 hours to do it at that same time tomorrow or forever after is rather inconvinient as I can only do it early today when I did it yesterday afternoon so that's me out till tomorrow and I know other people find it rather inconvinient too.

I wonder why they did it the way they did any way as it's not the best way for it, everything else changes at a same time for everyone so why not Zaishen Elite?

Excuse me, but according to what i know, daily=every 24 hours since a day is a period of 24 hours starting at 0:00 GMT and ending at 23:59:59.99 GMT. That is why there is a UTC (Universal Time Clock) in which every country set they ouwn local clocks upon.

Did you even read all of the first post?

Don't you realise what I meant?

Or are you oblivious to how Zaishen Elite works? Of course there's 24 hours in a day, Zaishen Quests change daily at the same time for everyone but Zaishen Elite is whatever time you did it last and that is inconvinient because you have less flexibility.

would make it much more convenient if u could do it whenever during the day and then do it whenever during the day the next day. base the reset time on either ANET's pacific time or general GMT time.

I never knew until today that the Zaishen Challenge Balthazar cap changes just like everything else (Except Zaishen Elite ._.), it's scheduled for the same time every day unlike Zaishen Elite, why make it different!?

this isnt one of my priorities but it should be like the other so ill sign i do elite maybe once a week for fun so not a big priority for me
