I'm tired of being in a HA match and, after I bash the losing team for using heroes that have more talent than they do, someone from that team PM's me like "omg noob your team is so bad QQ". Now at this point I like to PM back "have fun farming Zaishen, pal", but they are wonderfully set to "Do Not Disturb" and they can just PM me as much as they want while I can't do a da*n thing about it besides add them to ignore (unless your list is full, which is very easy to do) or make myself dead to my f-list by setting myself to Do Not Disturb or Offline

My belated-Christmas wish-list:
1) If you are set to Do Not Disturb or Offline, you cannot PM anyone (seeing as how they can't PM you back, doesn't really seem fair does it?). There is no good use for them that "Away" status can't solve
2) If you have someone on your Ignore list, you cannot PM them (since once again, they cannot PM you back which is very annoying. If you dislike them enough to put them on the ignore list, you shouldn't want to talk to them)

i tooootaly agree. its been fine for 3 years but 2 weeks ago there was a dude who was just....wrong! : / after the battle he pm'd me spamming noob then we met again in FA outpost and then after i had entered battle he called me a wimp for running off >.> and demanded that i talk to him>.>
he was on my own fecking team as well.

So yea i like your idea.

Didn't you ever think that you start the problem in the 1st place?
I have a solution - dont talk to the losing team and miraculously they wont spam PM you! Magic....

@ Puppeteer - If you're going to base your opinion on the 1 example of the backwards philosophy of DnD that I gave then please don't bother jumping in. This is not the only time it happens...any time you and another person get in any sort of a disagreement, all they have to do is go DnD and send the first PM and never need to worry about retaliation

@ Grj - I only trash teams that use heroes because they're the best players on their team usually. If you don't agree with that it's fine, but both you and puppeteer have offered nothing productive (either agreement or rebuttal) to this post so please don't bother coming in here to increase your post-count

The point I'm making is that people use it as a way to escalate a conflict without having to worry about consequences, a good deal imho

Maybe people are set on Do Not Disturb because theyre actually chatting with someone and don't want to be disturbed?

Meh, I have 2 people on my ignore list, and when I sometimes meet people in HA :S DAMN :P

Im not saying here it's the OP's fault, but maybe people should be more sensible sometimes and don't provoke people. Leave heroway scrubs alone and move on. When you don't wanna get into fights, simply don't pick them.

Unfortunately, GvG and HA do not work this way. My guild never talks shit, we usually just ignore whatever shit talking they say, and just gg the team at the end. Occasionally we might not gg them if they were complete assholes, but thats as far as it goes. We've gotten the after match pm nonetheless.

This is a great idea, it's just simple logic. If your on any of those statuses, why should you be allowed to pm?

Even if whispering someone becomes impossible under DnD status, people will simply switch to online state, whisper something, and switch back to DnD.

It's just verbal volleyball. Man up and ignore it instead of trying to overhaul the entire system just so you can get that one line of insult in.

Even though the OP egged the guy on in his story...

..doesn't change the fact that this does happen all the time unprovoked and is really annoying. My favorite is when somebody whispers me while offline going "OMG you are such a bad ranger blah blah blah die, burn in hell, blah" and I was playing like the necro or something. It is still a half deccent idea, and probablly wouldn't be that hard to impliment.

LMAO, a thread just like this that i posted was closed less then 24 hrs ago and Shane Hawke said any other threads opened about this subject would also be closed and deleted..but yeah its a real annoying thing that this crap is allowed.

This is a thread for antisocial people who cant deal with their own issues in an educated manor. It is highly unlikely they will continue to pm you are even more rarely spam you if you dont respond initially. That first response of "have fun farming zaishen" sparks further trolling by them because they know you are there and they know you are reading what ever garbage they post. Being "dead to my flist" is when your offline, just set to away and learn to ignore childish comments. If they bother you THEY ARE SUCCEEDING. Having a full ignore list is common? Sorry mine is empty and i promise you more people in this game hate and rage at me then you could ever possibly imagine. Its very easy to avoid filling your ignore list by NOT putting everyone who bickers at you there. Learn some social skills and after a while people wont pick on you.
In all honesty this is a joke of an idea and how funny it is that this game is dead and you can still find people who hate you enough to need being ignored is beyond me....

Ok, so according to you everyone that hates to be bothered by people who hide behind DnD, ignore. and offline are DUMB and have SOCIAL issues? Is that really your answer?
Also, it sounds like you have more social issues than anyone by claiming more people hate and rage you then anyone can imagine...maybe take your own advice about learning some social skills.
