No WIK quests or missions?
I know it would have been a ton of effort involved on ANet's part, but it would have been nice if there were quests or missions on the WIK storyline. Maybe something like clear a path to LA for Selma's army or a battle help retake Lion's Arch. You know, just something where we can actively take part in events instead of being a spectator would have been good.
If Anet needed a justification for the costs just tack it onto GW2's marketing budget.

they already said there will be quest(s)
they are just doing a really bad job implementing them in a way that would keep the community involved and interested.

The major problem is going to be when the quests come out. I wonder if all of the storyline stuff up to this point is necessary to do the quests. It is really going to make it hard to be able to do it with alliance mates or even pugs for that matter because of the stuff that Thackeray is collecting. I think it was really poorly implemented as well. Not to mention the fact that sometimes the NPC conversations don't appear, or the NPC's for that matter. I really like what I have seen so far though. I just don't like the way it was handled. Not very reassuring for all of this intuitive stuff they have been hyping in GW2. If you can't get this to be intuitive, is GW2 going to be more of the same?
If it all worked all the time, I would be singing a different tune. I just think it's gonna be a mess when the quests hit. Also I will be pretty disappointed if I did all of the preliminary stuff, and I didn't really have to do it.

Wik is really starting to drag on - sadly people are going to be too tired of it by the time it gets fully going.
Myself - cant be bothered following it as its ended up being like a segmented story - pages over a few weeks and most will probably forget what happened by time of next segment.
White mantle peace keepers have probably infiltrated anet and got their designers/coders/tea boy/postman/ etc under interrogation and thats why its taking so long ( also wonder when anet staff takes their hols ).
Is Wik going to be another "shelved utopia" and when gw2 is released we`ll have anet releasing a new "addon" like eotn - gw wik.
Anet - i know you have a lot going on but please if you give people a taste if things - get a move on and get it going for the public to play , viral campaign that you spend money on is going to waste and is probably going to affect your image.

Anyway , if we don't get it in the next weeks , it will be on september ( remember last year , some update who kept beung delayed , and when summer came it was like : " alright ppl , its summmer , so cya after holidays folks " ) .
I personnaly think they will keep adding some dialogues , and preparations , so all others ( quests and stuff ) will come on september/october. But , as i said it on other thread , i think we should not expect too much from WiK

Actually, Lindsey said in an interview on about the 4th that they have a month left on releasing WiK stuff, so I would say by the end of this month/beginning next that all the WiK stuff will be out... But the part that may scare you is that it isnt just WiK. It is actually Guild Wars Beyond, and they are planing other stuff beyond WiK

I hope this new"WIK" thing isn't boring and beginner friendly. Nowhere does it state anything about HM or anything thats close to an Elite Area. I did see that a req* was to complete prophecies or EOTN but all in all, this is a pass for me.

If they didn't have anything or don't plan to have anything that's going to be like a quest, that's probably because they stopped using quests in GW2 and might be trying to reflect that here. Since the last set of updates made it related, the questy kind of things that we'll probably continue to see are those things like Thackery having the list of junk that we needed to bring him for his picnic.

If the WiK is a good example of the kind of content we're going to continue to get from Guild Wars Beyond, then I may take a pass. I've watched Zinn's trial, and that was enough for me.
None of this is really exciting or interesting to me at all. But the good news is that the new Red Dead comes out today, so I shouldn't get too bored. And, if I'm having a slow day at work, I have some pokemon roms I could play.
Ahhh. I love being the boss

So you missed Salma going unnoticed through the krytan land, teleporting from Talmark to Lion's Arch and taking back the throne by just sitting on it.

Except GW is a totally different game than GW2. It isn't a solo only game that has persistant areas for people as well as dynamic events. So trying to make it be like GW2 is a bad idea.

Someone in my guild was asking about how to see Salma in Lion's Arch and it sparked a 2 hour frustrating attempt by the entire guild on a trial and error attempt to figure out how to trigger every dialogue and scene to make it happen. It was not easy.
I did them all on my warrior as the updates were released, after the last update I started doing them on my assassin and I ended up running back and forth all over the place trying to figure them out. Because you have to trigger scenes between Evennia and Ebon Vanguard, Gwen and Thackery, Zinn's Trial and all the stuff at the camp, it takes forever to balance and see everything.
As far as quests for the "content" we've currently received, it would have made A LOT of sense to have an escort quest or something to help guide Salma to Lion's Arch. At the very least it would have given people SOMETHING to do with content that already existed in the game.
