Un-nerf Mind Wrack for PvE
In PvE. Otherwise that's going back into my "useless and worthless pile of junk" every time I look at it in the skills list.
I guess it's just a matter of time before all or most of the skills that were changed are nerfed.

Hell no. I'll even say that mesmers didn't even need the buffs in the first place especially compared to dervs and paragons.

Instead of nerfing something into oblivion they could have at least kept the skill somewhat useful.
I thought people learned that lesson. Guess not.

You do realize that they're both being worked on, right?

Not really seeing how overload + mind wrack was much different from discord/necrosis spam dps. There's a reason its nerfed in PvP, and also a reason PvE has largely moved on.

You wouldn't even be bitching about the nerf if ANet had made this the original functionality post-update, because it's still stronger in all respects than it was one week ago, aside from a negligible recharge increase of two seconds.

nerfed into oblivion my ass, it's still usable with burn, surge, and overload, just because it doesn't trigger on hexes anymore doesn't mean anet should baby you and take even more brainpower out of using mindwrack.

Mesmers do have a lot of hexes. But they also have a lot of non-hex skills.
Not every skill can be an all powerful one hit button kill switch (not that it ever was, but it was very powerful). As people have said, its still considerably more powerful than it was before, just be happy with that.

they didn't nerf it to oblivion. you can find something else to run. it's not going to get unerfed. Saying that you want it to get unerfed so you can take advantage of the overpowered skill isn't exactly a vaild reason to unerf something.

For a simple monthly fee, Anet can deliver a customised Mind Wrack direct to your lair under a bridge.
Stop asking and start appreciating. Anet and the Test Krewe did a great job to make Mesmers fun to play in PvE (question PvP crossover...) and yet you're complaining that mind wrack isn't strong enough? I thought things pop quicker than they lose energy in PvE anyways...

I had not had a chance to use it in my PvE build. In general I do not like nerfs for any reason whatever. If the skills worked for the test crew, then they should work for the general game populace ... except that the general game populace has a high population of nerf birds. Easier to ask for nerfs than to learn how to play.

I preferred it as it was between last week's buff and this week's nerf. It rewarded focussing on one enemy and spiking them (and the rest of the enemies balled up with them) down/shutting them down, which is a playstyle that the mesmer previously lacked and is one which works very well in HM PvE. Now that hexes such as Panic and Empathy no longer trigger it, hey ho back we go to tabbing through the off targets and hexing them instead, which isn't as valuable. Please revert for PvE.

The test krew is a small amount of people. Just because they didn't find a way to abuse something, doesn't mean it can't be done.
Everyone's human. I play a mesmer and I found Mind wrack to be too powerful.

OK, so ill admit that it wasnt nerfed to oblivion... but really now. Does anyone here actually believe that a mind wrack that activated on Wastrel's worry, wastrel's demise, etc. is overpowered in PvE? The nerf may have been a minor one but it still was an unnecessary nerf for a skill that didnt need one.
/signed for OP's suggestion
