Default Tell us if we full explored an area

I think it would be helpful if the game would tell us if we have fully explored an area for our cartographer, it can be just like when it tells us when we fully vq'd an area, but it says you fully mapped an area.

That would be a pretty good feature, I doubt were going to get anything like that though. Although the the texmod does that exact job if you are willing to use it.

I agree, it would be nice to have an ingame notification, but I don't think (or want) Anet to spend time doing it when TexMod provides a solution.

TexMod hasn't made cartographer easy enough for you yet?

Wow, that's kind of a harsh assumption. Some people just don't feel comfortable using third-party programs of ANY kind, even those that are widely used and (I think) officially condoned. Or maybe his computer can't handle running it for whatever reason. Or maybe he is making it more of a personal challenge by not using texmod, but would still like to have note of his progress via completion symbols. It's silly to assume the worst after an innocent suggestion.

That said, /signed. If it wouldn't be too hard to implement, that is, since if they're doing something major this wouldn't be my first choice. It'd be a nice alternative to reliance on texmod.

Should have been done when they added vanquishing.

Just fyi...it would be unnecessary for this to be implemented in order to bot it....just saying...

I also used to do a service for guildies where I would finish up their carto titles for them over a weekend for a few k depending on how much they had left to do, how much they had (I'm not gonna charge someone with 100k 75k for a few % but for someone with a few hundred k I might), and whether or not I liked them xD. And truthfully...I used texmod...if he's gonna pay someone to do it...they probably will too making it unnecessary for that...so please...come up with a reasonable argument against it.

Actually, with the title making ANY sense (currently, Cartographer requires more than proper exploration of areas) and an ingame feature like that, maybe people wouldn't have searched for shortcuts.

Personally I don't think that it will be implemented - would a nice feature for GW2 though.

As ailina said, i dont like using 3rd party programs in order to get a title. i don't think its right to have to use a texmod to get cartographer

Wait, since it was carto, you have to do it on their characters, unlike vanquishing. So they gave you their account info? Pretty trusting guildies.
Or were you all RL friends or something?
Just curious.

I'm a trust-able guy... thats all...
And I guess they figured that out since they'd see me like 30 hours a week xD

that and I think after I did it for the guy with the storage char for ectos...without any going missing they figured I was safe..

@ End. Account sharing is highly against the EULA and is actually a very serious offense. My fiancé got a 2 week suspension (her first suspension ever) and a perma-ban threat from Support because she and I used to log onto eachother's accounts (not knowing it was in fact a violation).

I have not logged into her account since then, however. There's just too much to risk (a permaban on her account would devistate her) for such an easily avoidable offense.

I know
Neither I nor anyone that I have worked for has received a ban...soo.....

However, This matters very little to the discussion at hand.

Use TexMod. I don't think areas have definite exploration boundaries for this to work with.
