To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

Hexspam builds are already among the builds with the lowest skill requirement. Not quite as bitch-role status as super easy stuff like Blindbot, but they are still pretty far down there and do not need any kind of UI buff that makes them easier. Being able to keep track of your skills is one of the few things that separates a good curse Necro from a monkey that has been trained to target melee classes and proceed to jump up and down on the keyboard.

The only valid responses I've seen boil down to: -Yes, the UI is lacking in this respect. -No, the fact that players can't see this is a valuable game mechanic. I'm going with "No, the fact that players can't see this is a valuable game mechanic." If a Monk with good reflexes drops his Holy Veil before you cover your Backfire, he's earned the right to fool you into thinking he can't cast spells.

If you mean to have something like what you see under the Hero control panels, with all those little icons, but showing only the effects YOU created, and not your allies' or foe's, then, it would only replace your own memory, and give no advantage, since you'll have to still keep track of what allies and foes cast. It won't be so bad, but ONLY if you can see your own effects. Apply a maintained enchantment, and you'll be a ble to see it when you select the target again, under his healthbar. Apply and hex, and as long as it lasts it appears inder the target healbar when you select him. That I would agree with.
