they should add a lot of e-motes
or even emotes that only work outside towns
like for a ranger to actually pet his pet
maybe a necro to dance with the dead

Yes, yes, yes, yes...
Why haven't we seen a ton more emotes come out for this game. Does Anet not realize that good emotes are the key to a great game?
All these are great ideas and all should be added. Just think if they added a tone of emotes, what more fun we could have RPing with GW.
Please, please, please add more emotes Anet.

/icyshirt - bucket materializes in pcharcters hand. They then run upto the targeted PC/NPC/Foe and dump a bucket of water on them causing no damage and generating a cold aura for 3 seconds.
/snowball - throw snowball at 142' range targetting PC/NPC/Foe. No damage.
/mudball - same as snowball but for those times when snow is just not avaliable.
/foolsgold - an unassigned random drop appears contining a large amount of money or labeled as a gold item. Any attempt to pick it up results in it moving 3-5 feet away from player. It cannot be picked up. It dematerializes after three attempts.

Some great ideas here, guys!
Personally, I'd like to see things more on the *ahem* "personal life" side of characters. Such as the /hug, /kiss, /cuddle, /wed that most have already suggested. There are just some instances where you have to have those emotes..or sometimes you just want to torture people in randomly going up to them and doing /kiss until they leave the district!

/lol
Think of the 'lol, internet' YTMND's. Fun times.
Some of my favorites.

Well... here are the ones I can recall now that I've tried but I got nothing...
/cry
/smile
/crouch
/jumpforward
/fakedead (XD)
/talk
/explain (same as /talk)
/piano
/listen
I'd like them in the game.

Just a lot more poses would be nice to go AFK to, relax and talk and such.
Few good ones already suggested:

ect.
/signed on the idea for more emotes

Yeah there really needs to be more emotes...I was in FoW with a guildmate and a crystalline sword dropped for him. All I could do was /cry in teamchat.

I'd like to see a /me emote.
Example: "/me does the chicken walk." displays:
Username does the chicken walk.

I just got Nightfall and I made a Dervish. When I think of Dervishes the first things that I think about it is Jelaluddin Rumi and the Whirling Dervishes. I would like to be able to /whirl, because that's what Dervishes do. Both arms extended. Right hand up to receive blessings from heaven. Left hand down to give blessings to the earth and spinning in a counterclockwise direction. I would also like to be able to control my whirl as Dervishes whirl around the master in a counterclockwise direction much as the earth rotates around the sun. How can I have a Dervish that can't whirl???

There could be a /quirk emote, so players can make an unique move only for them, like Elementalsits making a spark, dervishes wirling, sunspears presenting Shield and spear, ritualists showing an spiritual skull on thir hands... etc...

/ignore (hands covering ears)
