Chaos gloves already exist for the epeen purpose, so if they were to implement another shard-costing armor, it should be within reach of casual PvEers.

/Agree.
Also, I'd rather weapons that are priced appropriately so that they would be worthy of being put in the HoM. I don't particularly care about special gauntlets.

i would see your point, if shards were over 2.5k - but they are fairly cheap.

Agree, so what if people wanna show of e-penis. I'd rather have some way overpriced armours for more diversity than all these cheap elite armours.

You're saying that from now on nothing new should be added? Are you aware that many people will keep playing and also many will start doing it?

having a wider variety of affordable armors is better than having a multiple epeen armors.

There are allready so many affordable armour/weapons in the game. I like special ones, not those that everyone is wearing/using.
Really hope they change this in gw2, unique weaps and armour is a must.

But any new armor/weapon would be good for the game, so /sign. It'd be nice to have more FoW/UW ones too.

A few years ago, A.net mentioned that 95% of of GW1 players never reach level 20 and has fewer then 20k.
People who read forums are not "casual" and its a poor way to extrapolate anything from the player base

imho guild wars 2 should have it where u can make your own armor depending on what materials u have in your inventory, much like a concoction that u drink and take a risk on...if that makes any sense...or a design your own armor for a so and so price...cant explain it.

Pretty sure I didn't say that in my one line response. There are currently around 20 different armor sets available plus several different guantlets and headpieces that are universal. I don't see why we need one additional one.
I'm all for new content but don't think this would be the best use of dev's time. More BLA type events would get/keep more people playing than a new set of gloves.

Having way overpriced armor doesn't make for diversity. if all elite armors cost the same people would buy based on personal taste rather than making the most expensive armor the goal and just getting that. Thats why everyone is running around in obby armor.
If you want to show off how rich you are make it a expensive. If you want diversity make it cheap so people buy it on looks rather than epeen.

Could also do something with this that works the materials that are rarely ever used such as Spiritwood Planks.
I've been on both sides of the spectrum from a casual player at start to an elite pve-er.
Money is very easy to get when u collect everything you pick up. eventually after a few hundred (or thousand) of those 150g items or 75g items, you can add up to quite the sum of money.
Having obi glove idea would provide more than one use for obi shards in the game, giving them a value to the people that don't want to have to get all the ecto for obi armor.
