Secret Storage Facility
Most weeks I collect stuff for the traveller. I dedicate a fair proportion of my storage to hoarding items on the off-chance that they will be required by the traveller at some point.
Imagine how great it would be if ANet implemented a massive warehouse like at the end of India Jones - The Ark of the Covenant (run by Asurans no doubt). It could be based in Area 51 or my preference; Langley, Virginia. Everytime you picked up a collectible drop it would automatically get added to your secret storage facility and could then be called upon later for whatever purpose presented itself. Every single collectible drop in the game could automatically be added.
Either create a "Temple of Doom" mega quest that spans all four campaigns and requires quite an effort to complete in order to unlock the SSF (Secret Storage Facility) and / or require a purchase from the in-game store. Say somewhere in the region of $25 maybe. With terabyte drives down to a mere few $10's of dollars this might have been a feasible upgrade to Anet's servers.
*** Back from work with some new ideas :
The implementation might be in the form of accepting a quest from an Asura that gives you a "unique" (doesn't really have to be unique) combination of symbols / cartouches that you have to then go off and find. Perhaps dungeons drop them or maybe during some excavations in the Tomb of Primeval Kings they were found (might reinvigorate some of the game). Make them fairly rare to get and maybe you need to collect a unique identifier to gain access to the SSF, 10 - 20 symbols long. from an alphabet of possible symbols.
Maybe something like this:
Tombs run reward: 5% of getting one
Other dungeon reward: 2%
Random Drop from a monster: 1 / 5000
From the alphabet of A..Z mine might be: ABDASVVVIT
I'd go for some cool artwork here, like egyptian hieroglyphs (cartouches?). An ancient, asurian language. Maybe the background of each symbol can also be from a range of possibilities (the elements), so you might need an "A" on a redish background (fire).
These could then be traded with other players in order to collect your access code.
After having assembled your access code this would then grant you access to a new, elite outpost - let's call it The Pyramid of Doom (PoD) as a working title. You and other players would have to run the gauntlet of a new, fairly tough dungeon - like area and, having succeeded, you would then gain access to the SSF. Perhaps have the temple / pyramid on seven levels and if you fail then you're kicked out and have to start again. Maybe it costs a gold zoin to gain entry, so failure is going to hurt a little.
Make this area a little like The Deep; the team needs to split to flick switches while the rest of the team passes through, have rolling boulders, etc; think Indiana Jones like situation. Maybe have a Deal or no Deal element (once per level), the team can gamble on a 50/50 chance of either having something good happening (a group of crack commando asurians show up and help or a few golems arrive and help click some azz) OR the hourde is released; bad stuff is unleashed (release the kraken, plague of locusts, ... start thinking "The Mummy"), perhaps a mummy does arrives - powerful necromancer. The balance should be something like:
Don't gamble - good team has 67% of survival per level
Gamble and it pays off - good team has 85%-90% of survival per level
Gamble and it goes wrong - good team has 25% of survival per level
(whatever the maths / game balance needs to be to make it hard but not insane)
Once you finally complete PoD a cutscene has you and the lads (fellow team mates) standing as the camera pans back and you see the vast warehouse stretching out in front of you with working class asurians (mere PhD's amongst the standard nobel prize middle classes) going about their business shifting stock about. Perhaps Palawa Joko is standing at the customer service desk, arguing about some lost stock, "no no no, I want ectos, not shards!"

TBH I don't like this idea simply because I actually like hunting for nic items every week and If I don't feel like killing for them I can just buy them for 10k, get my gifts and 9/10 times make my money back or double it. If anet decides to add some storage content I would rather them release the anniversary storage pan again or give us a tome/dye storage since those take up a lot of space. Not to mention your idea sounds very outlandish and unlikely to happen.

Would be alot of fun, however I think farming for Nick's is to farm something else every week, not to go to your secret facility and get the stuff there.

It sounds like laziness to me. I agree with Yinsang in that the items are supposed to be farmed each week, not retrieved from your SSF.
Why do so many people feel they deserve what they have not worked for?

NOT because I am against the idea of some sort of additional or extended storage for such items (hell, I'd love it), but because I just don't think this particular method is necessarily the answer.
I would happily buy additional panes along the lines of the current crafting material pane for things like tomes, dyes, mini pets, consumables, even runes & insignia. I don't think similar panes would be functional for trophy drops - mostly because there are a few hundred of the damn things - but I also don't think the SSF idea is practical either.
My "solution" was to buy a second account and we use that to collect trophies... I didn't mind giving ANet the $20 for the Trilogy to get 8 storage characters plus their chest, and I'll probably end up getting another one since I've found other pretties I like to collect as well.
I wouldn't object to a different storage solution for trophy drops... I just don't think the SSF idea is the right solution.

How do you figure they have not worked for it? I've got several storage characters loaded with items Nick may want, items the Chefs want during CNY, items for Halloween & Winter fest, etc.
Every item in there I worked for, by actually PLAYING the game. They're the drops I earned through initially going through areas, through vanquishing and mapping areas, through helping friends through areas, and yes sometimes through farming areas - usually for something else entirely.
How is that not worked for? Do you think we wave a magic wand and *poof* those items appear in our storage?

Stop being lazy... or...
Oh and I do collect Nick's items as well! And shuffle it all to a second account. A second account is a SSF in itself >.>

There you go, with that 25 bucks you could pay would pay for the SSF you can buy another account or a character slot that can told your trophies.

You could just put the items on mules or get a second account.
And btw, I don't believe it takes HDD space on their server for you to store items. But I could be wrong.
Didn't think the string of text
"Skale Fins" bag 1 slot 2 amt 250
took up a lot of room on their servers,

1: some people like to clutter their inventory with all kinds of stuff they hardly ever need. Just like real life, it is best to throw away unneeded stuff and there is a load of inventory space available.
2: The effect it would have on in game economy would be big. If people can keep every valuable item, the amount of items on market would go down and the prices go up. This goes for trade with other players but also for trade with NPC's.
Beside I do hope that the servers doesn't use those cheap home use hd's but the more expensive, but more reliable ones.

In order to get much more storage ive found the Trilogy which is 8 char plus storage thats for $10 discount store unopened thats like 400 spots, and Prophesis only for $3-5 each thats about 225 spots. If you have a net or laptop to trade yourself its handy. THink of all the BD and extra nick gifts.

I apologize, I should have been more clear in what I meant. The idea of having all collectable drops automatically appear in a SSF is lazy in my opinion. I am all for additional storage as I too collect and hold on to way too many things even without holding possible Nick items, but again, am against having items automatically put in storage aftr picking them up. I hope that clarifies things a bit.

Thats a brilliant idea! Some people save a lot of trophies that can be useful for traveler gifts. TBH buying a secondary account-WASTE of money. Not everyone can afford buying a second account. And then, its not called lazyness.... some people are simply collectors. 2 of my guildies are collectors aswell, and it's amaizing. They has the items for Nicholas almost EVERY WEEK.

Umm you do know that the OP was suggesting the SSF be an in-store item for USD 25,00.... and that others have said "buy a second account for USD 20,00"
Last time I checked, 20 Dollars was less than 25 Dollars. Your statement does not make much sence. Plus you get the added bonus of a second account which you can actually use to play on if you want to make a fresh start.

quest sounds like fun, but I already collect as many collectible items as my mules can hold---on various accounts, ....(and only cost me $14 for 2 of those).....
so

either keep items you think nic will want, dont do nic, or farm like everyone else (or buy from packrats like me---still working on my fow ughly armor )

All that for a "SSF"? That's more content to be added than WiK, and it doesn't even have any bearing on the GW lore/storyline... it feels like a "filler" mini-plot to me if anything. tbh like others have said getting a second account is perfectly feasible and Anet's time is better spent on GW:B and GW2 right now.
