As for the chaos gloves, wtf? Wasted gold and ecto because they don't look like the mesmer gloves? Why the hell did you buy them? Oh right... buying expensive crap that you hate just to impress other people is what this game is obviously about for some people.
Stop caring so much about the opinion of snobby teenagers and wear armors that you like. Some people do actually like the armors that you consider boring or ugly.

This pretty much sums up what I think about the OP's suggestion.

/not signed...if they are going to work on armor --fix the GLITCHES!! I still have holes and such that have been around almost since day one!
(and there are enough choices of armor --pick something else to wear if you are tired of fow).

While I love my rit's obby armour (san the teacup hat lol) and the Elementalist (with that fremen stillsuit look), I personally do find obby armour on the other professions to be somewhat on the ugly side. But I am pretty sure someone here will speak up and say otherwise.
I also collect armour sets, but solely based on which set looks better on which profession. I got obby for my rit not because of the cost or prestige, but because I loved the look of it on my rit. The same for my Elementalist, which I've chosen Deldrimor, which I can not even add to my HoM. :-( And have no plans nor desire to get obby armour (or Chaos Gloves or blindfolds) for any of my other characters and probably wouldn't have gotten obby if I didn't like it on my Rit.
I can not see anet (or the live team) having the time/resources to redesign any armour set, let alone obby. There is more of a chance (though slim) of asking them to design new costumes (simulating a desired armour type) -- I am personally waiting for the commando (or at least in tonic form).

1.Some Obby armors aren't THAT bad to deserve a redesign.
2.Instead of redesign, ADD another set.
Maybe as End-reward for incoming WoC: this way is even possiblie to fit in Kurz/lux for derv/para.

Reskin is a waste of devs time, and if people are getting it only for HoM one quick "fix" would be to increase or make more consistent the number of ectos/obsid salvaged from the armor (it would make them less of a goldsink, but the economy already is pretty messed) / OR the could simply suck it up like they already do. Some people like the obsid skins so reskin not best option.

I like the armors. But it'll be very nice if they fix the glitches they have. I don't think it's that much of a work.
I don't know why they haven't fixed those little issues for 6 years. O.o

That would screw all the people who have the armor and like how it looks. If you don't have the armor and don't like the way it looks, no loss. If you already have the armor and it gets changed to something you don't like, there is no way to get your money back. If you are only buying it for HoM, that is no different than buying any of the consumable titles.
