Extended Weekend Events
ANet has shown in various ways that they want maxing titles to be easier for players. I propose that they start extending some of the weekend events, maybe to 5 days rather than just the weekend or something along those lines. Have you tried doing MQSC most hours without a guild team? How about farming Lightbringer/ Sunspear points lately? The double reputation is what makes these things possible to find groups for because people are all drawn to do them. I'm not saying extend golden egg farming necessarily, but the non profit events should be extended. Feel free to agree or troll.

I'm fine with weekend events as is. Extending them would devalue their bonus.
/2 Star System is good as is

Being married with children makes it hard to take advantage of many events so I would definitely appreciate longer events.

Go look for a SS/LB farming group. Go look for an MQSC group in American hours. Or you could go grind reputation for 2-3 weeks. Not to mention the fact that many groups for certain things require certain rank. GW tells us "You have been playing for XX hours. Please take a break." If that's how they really feel, I doubt they want us to NEED to grind for 10 hours on 5 different characters just to be able to play the game. April Fool's proved they want to take away grind and Embark Beach showed that they want us to be able to find groups. This would be a good way to enforce that.

I don't think it would devalue their purposes, considering the different event line-ups cycle, and they don't reappear for a good month or two, so it wouldn't really abuse the idea of title grinding. Fair enough if it was the same one every week for like 5 days, that would really screw it up, but considering they take a while to come back around again, it seems like a good idea.
Also, it would be an even better alternative for Anet for getting people to achieve their 50/50 HoM because players who can't get on at the weekends for any reason, would really appreciate this no doubt.
Thats just my opinion, each to their own

I'd also like to throw this out there, feel free to look up my HoM: Blade of Apocalypse. I'm at 48/50, should be 50/50 within a few weeks. I'm not someone who doesn't want to put in the work so I choose to complain. I've done all the grinding, that's why I bring this up. Would I like getting to work on my ranks for my chars who aren't my main more easily? Of course. I'm suggesting this for the benefit of other people for the most part because believe me, I DEFINITELY know how much grind all of those titles takes.

Maybe only for eotn/nf titles, but signed none-the-less. The huge impact of the meta these pve only skills have means that these titles have become a forced major grind. Relieving that for the few alts I play would be appreciated.

Sunspear and Lightbringer are easily achieved with very few hours of gameplay even outside of weekend events.
Maxing Lightbringer - do DoA 3-4 times. Fing PUGS and do some glaiveway
Maxing Sunspear - VQ some areas and make sure you get the bounties.
Eotn titles would be a bit too easy with extended double rep weekends.
I would be very happy about extended special events with certain drops since I work 50% of the weekends though.

Anet should just have a massive week or two right before GW2 release and have doubel rewards for every title

i like the idea. this weekend for example i was busy so i couldn't get in on the double vanquishing rewards, even though i have to do prophecies vanquishes and was going to do them anyway, and lost out of potential money. So i agree, but if you need to name them something else if you are going to do that.
like this for example: every monday at 12pm PST the week event changes to something else. that way you have a week to get on an event. just an idea, could cause problems with farming and what not.

Ok theyre called WEEKEND events for a reason. Its because they happen on the weekend so that makes them special. If you make them 5 days instead of 2 and a half (i believe they run 12 noon friday to midnight sunday pacific time?) then they are no longer even weekend events. theyre just bonuses. And if its at 5 days, might as well make it a whole week right? and always have an event going?

if you think this is a troll post, its actually not, im totally serious. like the dude above who said start thursday end on tuesday, thats not even a weekend. Having an event running more often than not is NOT special in any way and it makes the regular time an "event" because it doesnt happen as often. jeez

They could also just give all the titles for free when u log into the game, that way u dont have to work for it at all and everyone gets gwamm and 50/50 in HoM so much easier.

I've seen this exact thing happen on another game. It was one huge nail in the coffin.
It might seem attractive, but don't do it. This idea has destroyed games.
