4v4 Arena
This is opposed to the "make random arenas random" thread below. And this is NOT to re-implement the original 4v4 arena.
The main issue I think is what makes Random Arenas fun and NOT fun at the same time, mainly quick access. Being able to simply click enter and fight is a wonderful thing, but more often than not the teams you get or face will be so poorly built that you either stomp or be stomped.
The only real solution I see is if there was a "read profession" system in place that could register the total amount of professions currently qued into the arena, and create balanced teams of random people using the professions.
Ex. would be if you que as a warrior and get into the match with an ele and 2 mesmers, then your opposing team would ALSO be W / E / Me / Me.
So you still get a random team with random people, but you face the same group composition of random people.
This removes a slight bit of the "random" essence, but would be more beneficial in the long run to those who actually enjoy the PvP in this game.
The "quick enter" versions of PvP in this game do not prepare or teach you much about teamplay at all, and definitely does not transition well into the higher end PvP.
The first step is teamplay, which when queing into a pvp format that doesnt allow teams is hard, but at least if both teams have similar composition you can compensate.
:/
tl;dr - System for reading the amount of professions qued into the arena, and creates similar composition for teams, but with random people and random professions for the composition.

If this was implemented you would be denied the fun of getting 25 wins with no healer, or all caster/melee and ranged attack teams, or 3 rits DwG their way to 10/25 wins..................or many of the other unusual teams I've played with in RA.
It's the random element which makes me come back time and again, and the ease of entry, hence why sync teams are so bad as would be pre-sorting of any kind.
If you're new and want a flavour of pvp, RA is ideal if the teams aren't synced as you can get lucky and get a few wins, and might come back to pvp again. Once you lurk in RA a while you might fancy something more organised and move on to CA/HA/GvG etc
If the teams are picked or pre-organized, whether through design or syncing, it just becomes another TA, and that place was dead towards the end, and boring to play, same old builds just like HA where you can even name every single team build, shove-spike for TA, IWAY for HA etc etc etc.
If that's your thing there are plenty of places for you and your friends to plan something out, leave RA alone so I can get streaks with people with no secondary/experience or an axe using ele or a 4 derv lawn mowing team.............

You failed to understand the idea here, you can still get those teams, 3 rits, all warrior ,or all ele etc. but you would FACE that team as well because the system would organize the teams that way.
And it would not be pre-organized and still choose people from a single "enter battle" que of individuals.
So you still get a random team, with random people....but you would face the same team composition on the other side, if you understand. No team builds, no loss of accomplishment.

And it would take HOW long before you faced another team of 3 rits? Sounds stupid imo.

That's not an especially bad idea, but too complicated to implement in my opinion , and rely on having a lot of players at least...
Assuming there is the same number of players for each profession , plus the fact that there are 8 profession , you can know the chances you face the same professions are really low , and would only work on a very big amount of players....

The way I can see them countering this is to have it set just like their end-game timer during matches. (if a player leaves)
Where if it cannot find the exact team composition in que when the timer hits 0, it will give 5-10 seconds to pick randomly to fill the spaces it could not find
so an example would be that you would still have 3 of the same professions (2 if there are very few in que) and the remaining would be a regular old random pick. So you may end up with a W/R/E/P vs W/R/E/Me if paragons are far and few.

Sounds like priming the system for abuse by synchers, but I get your drift and it's a little better than the current system.
I hate that when I don't bring my monk there is never a monk, and if I bring my monk there's always 1-2 other monks.

Are three Rits that hard to counter?
