Some nice ideas if i may be so vain...
Been playing Guild Wars for years, blah blah... scratch that.
Number 1)
On the character selection screen, add a "date of birth" so we can see when a character is due for a birthday present. Everyone likes birthdays, because of, well... presents!
Number 2)
Upon completion of the mission "Fort Ranik", transport characters directly to "Ruins of Surmia" outpost if the quest "Ruins of Surmia" has already been completed by the player and accompanying party members.. It seems counter-intuitive to be sent to an outpost to collect a quest which no longer exists on your character.
Same thing with completing Thunderhead Keep and all the others i care not to mention. Take me to the next mission yo!
Number 3a)
On the Xunlai storage UI, below the deposit/withdraw buttons, add an "Auto-arrange" button to restack items which may be duplicates, add materials into the materials section (and take materials from your characters bags), plus all sorts of other nifty things such as gathering your dyes together, weapons that are customised, weapons non-customised, runes etc etc.
Number 3b)
I personally would love the option of having one large storage tab rather than X small ones. On >insert other MMO here< there are addons which allow these things. It's about time we saw some advances in this area i think...
Number 4)
Questmaster - there are so many quests in Guild Wars, so many NPC's and so many zones, that i think an NPC called a Questmaster should be in order. If a character has completed for example Factions, then they should be able to visit the Factions Questmaster in Kaineng Center and collect any eligible quests that may have been missed, as many secondary quests are.
Same thing for all campaigns.
Number 5)
You gave us hardmode, and i'm happy to say i was probably one of the pioneers who first suggested it years ago, if not the first. I have also, like other people, suggested a long time ago that you bring back our old completed quests. My argument for this is that it would give virtually unlimited replay value to the Guild Wars franchise. PvE would not stagnate upon reaching a certain point or force players into endgame title grinding (which personally i do not mind to be honest, so long as it isn't ridiculous).
So come on ArenaNet, throw up some RED or BLUE exclaimation marks on the NPC's and let us play ALL the completed quests again. You could even have a massive storybook (or rather epic novel) which requires the player to complete every >insert campaign here< quest for said book.
No quest rewards, or maybe some XP+gold or just a frigging huge storybook with hundreds of quests to do for supermassive rewards at the end. How about that 20-33 PvE-only recurve bow or PvE-only vampiric bow without the health drain?
Guild Wars 1 does not have to end. It could go on for as long as Guild Wars 1 keeps being new and refreshing.
In my feeble but honest opinion, giving us back ALL of our quests via a big storybook sounds like a grand idea. Don't give me any hassle over lore and chronology, as missions can be repeated! So why not quests too?
Imagine that, guys and girls... multi-page books with hundreds of quests in them. My mouth drips at the thought!
Number 6)
101 gold coins, 56 gold coins, 8 gold coins. Hmmm, how come we can see how many coins are in the bag before we even get near them to pick them up? How about renaming them to "Bag of gold"?
Number 7)
Minipets. Can we have our drops auto-collected by our minipets please? Before minipets came along i thought it would be good for henchies to collect items for us, but Little Thom is a thief enough. Don't tell him i said so, he's mean looking.
Thanks for reading.

All of these have been suggested before at some time or another.....not that that makes them any less good as suggestions, but just to warn you that someone will come along here and tell you to use the search facility.....

1)Agree with this one
2)Don't be lazy
3)This one is fine
4)Most quests are boring but sure...
5)No, the rewards you suggested would be game breaking
6)Pointless
7)Same as above

The idea is good but he fact that GW2 is close to coming out means they're not that serious about perking up the game with effort. They're working on the future of Gw, not the past.
I would love to see some of these, but I'm quitting until GW2 mainly because I've seen it all in some form and I'm bored. ^^

i like all of these besides 6+7
6. there really isnt anything wrong with how the gold pick up is now. I mean you're launching death and fire magic at people.. and its stretched that you cant automatically tell how many gold coins are in a bag? perspective
and 7.. that just sounds like a bad idea b/c then bots wouldnt even have to pick up the objects.. just have the bot bring a mini pet with them and have it do the bots job(besides farming or w/e it is bots do) for them.
but i do like the other ideas.. even if the whole vampric bow with no health degen thing seems a little overpowered.

#1 & # 7 have been suggested before.
#2 - Are you lazy or just afraid of Grawl?
#6 - GW is a fanasy game with magic and all that good stuff. Seriously! How is a Frost Wurm going to wield a bow? Yet, they drop 'em!
#3 - 5 - BTW, You're only supposed to make one suggestion per thread.

The wurm ate someone who wielded a bow and the bow fell out of its body?

I like most of them.
Except the last one.
I'm not to blame but I think that the last suggestion is just being a
bit too lazy :P.

Great suggestions! What direction further enhancement of GW 1 takes is up to the devs, but there are still plenty of things to do.

i have been waiting for that for years now, but still nothing about it from Anet.... nice idea

sry but no, i like walking to get lil money or xp (in case of ascalon areas), and new people can explore some after a mission
Number 3a)
On the Xunlai storage UI, below the deposit/withdraw buttons, add an " Auto-arrange" button to restack items which may be duplicates, add materials into the materials section (and take materials from your characters bags), plus all sorts of other nifty things such as gathering your dyes together, weapons that are customised, weapons non-customised, runes etc etc.

i dunno, maybe a button like that for storage only to stack split items, but nothing more i guess
Number 4)
Questmaster - there are so many quests in Guild Wars, so many NPC's and so many zones, that i think an NPC called a Questmaster should be in order. If a character has completed for example Factions, then they should be able to visit the Factions Questmaster in Kaineng Center and collect any eligible quests that may have been missed, as many secondary quests are.

awesome idea, i like doing pointless quests when bored (no joke), and HM versions come out slowly now
Number 5)

a book sounds nice to do, but i think they wont due to too much of work, and they already give us HM quests back (which i hope means every sidequest existing)
Number 6)
101 gold coins, 56 gold coins, 8 gold coins. Hmmm, how come we can see how many coins are in the bag before we even get near them to pick them up? How about renaming them to "Bag of gold"?
nah, everyone understand it, no need
Number 7)

nice, but just let them pickup money, as i dont want all items dropped for me
Thanks for reading.

I feel they're all good ideas but number 2 seems quite pointless, however i doubt Anet will implement them. I think for the single Xunlai pane, you should be allowed to choose how many items you want on one tab instead.

at #2 he means that if you complete the mission a second time (and you have done the ruins of surmia quest) you arrive in the subsequent mission (he means player=character) he doesnt intent to skip the quest.
still it is a bit lazy since it is only 1 map click and a loading screen. In the end it is useless coding time by liveteam for 5 seconds worth of waiting.

Would be a nice option yes

No I don't agree on this one, if you already have the next mission outpost just maptravel. If not, primairy quests are part of the storyline. I rather would have that primairy quests in the starter area's are available to all characters (so you have actually a quest to Surnia when your there on a paragon)
Number 3a)
On the Xunlai storage UI, below the deposit/withdraw buttons, add an " Auto-arrange" button to restack items which may be duplicates, add materials into the materials section (and take materials from your characters bags), plus all sorts of other nifty things such as gathering your dyes together, weapons that are customised, weapons non-customised, runes etc etc.

I think both options should be available, maybe something like the F9 button for your inventory

Hmmmm, No. The beauty bout this game is that I still find quests on my main character I haven't done yet. Finding an npc you don't expect is in my opinion a rather nice experience
Number 5)

Hmmm, there are too many books already, but doing all quests in Hardmode sounds interesting, maybe an extra set of titles?
Number 6)
101 gold coins, 56 gold coins, 8 gold coins. Hmmm, how come we can see how many coins are in the bag before we even get near them to pick them up? How about renaming them to "Bag of gold"?
How come we can see how many damage we deal or what skill an opponent is trying to cast?
Number 7)
Minipets. Can we have our drops auto-collected by our minipets please? Before minipets came along i thought it would be good for henchies to collect items for us, but Little Thom is a thief enough. Don't tell him i said so, he's mean looking.
Nope, simply because I want control over what I pick up and don't pick up. Having said that I think that it isn't fair that Hero's get their share in drops, but we still have to buy them runes, armor, skills and weapons. Maybe have hero's autosell their items for special hero's gold, wich can be traded for (unlocked) mods and runes at a special NPC. I know for sure that Koss is spending all his money on booze all the time
Thanks for reading.

Having reacted to all suggestion, I have to say I doubt it that any will become part of the game. The live team has limited resources, and a lot of time is invested on the new beyond content.

Number 1) I like this one, a rather small and not majorly needed, but still quite nice.
Number 2) I don't see the point, it is just one map click away...
Number 3a) But I like to organize my storage D:
Number 3b) Tbh I like the storage just the way it is, maybe some more room... but actually like the way it works atm.
Number 4) I do enjoy quests, but I do find it kinda fun to find some unexpected npc and discover a quest I never done before, so I'm not sure about this one.
Number 5) Like quests, happy that HM quests are slowly coming up, a book might be a little too much.
Number 6) I don't see the problem. As said, magic everywhere else...
Number 7) Why not just pick up the drops you want yourself? I mean whats wrong with that?

It won't,there are rolls of legal red tape to go through before they even begin to code changes.Legalities mean they can't accept suggestions from third party sources, Facebook,Forums,Twitter,Carrier Pigeon,Messages in bottles.
They do accept http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:Main though

1 - Sure.
2 - Meh. Map travel, etc. Few people "caravan" missions enough for this to matter much, I think.
3a - Tough to program, would like it until it screws something up
3b - Yes please.
4 - Sure.
5 - You significantly overestimate how much players will want to repeat old quests, I think.
6 - No thanks, I like knowing if a bag of gold is worth picking up.
7 - Sure, why not. Don't think it's happening though.
