While a format itself rewarding leechers is a problem, the fact that the game itself really doesn't have a way to deal with leechers in any format is also a [completely separate] concern.
And to say /report is a valid way to deal with leechers is to be ignorant on the inner workings of the system.

If you're upset that players get nothing for trying, then you're wrong, because aside from RBR, players can earn Balthazar faction without winning the game. It's less than you may get from other forms of PvP, but given the nature of the arena, this is perfectly acceptable.
If you're upset that players don't get title points simply for effort, neither do players in RA, CA, HA, or GvG, nor did they in TA or HA when they were around. I suppose you've never participated in those arenas either then?
To go and say that players that do AB, FA, and JQ get something for their effort every time doesn't really fit, because those arenas are significantly different in the fact that their associated titles work off their faction gain rather than outright wins or losses. Additionally, these titles can be progressed through PvE play. Were the titles based on matches won, this would fall into the second category above, and then we would have no PvP arena anywhere where losers get title points simply on account of effort.

For those that say that it would encourage leeching, botting and overall cheating, people do it in PVP now. It's not going to change anything.

Leeching, botting, and cheating is already a bad enough problem. Why consciously make it worse?

If there was a way to effectively catch and punish leechers from the very start I would agree with a single point just for joining a match, but the current report methods are not enough to get rid of the problem this would cause.
If they ever come up with a way to completely get rid of leechers, bots and syncers, then I will completely agree with this.

Either this.. Or make winning worth more points. Getting that gamer title the way it is right now is rather difficult... What with having no choice for most all events but randomly partying up with noobs. Make it like TA was... Have one area for RA and one for TA (with event games).
I like the 1 point for participating too. Maybe add that, a TA like area, and make winning worth more points?

Well, as long as there's a minimum time, and you don't get anything if you leave, resign or quit, it should at least encourage being in matches.
But still there needs to be a way to detect who's actually playing, like using at least 3 different skills minimum number of times.

If it makes a title easier, then signed.
Failing that, just give the title automatically to players over 2 years old. Or should that say characters?

What you guys don't like in my opinion is the fact that those arenas are too much relying on the ' random' system and i really do agree with it
Costume brawl was nice, because 1-2 good players can make your team win, you got 2 options to win( cap and kill), no syncs and you hardly get frustrated because builds are fair....
RBR can be fun, but can also be super-frustrating, depending whether you play for ladder or for points....It's terribly worse than those games where you can go from first to last simply due to luck.... Also few bugs from skills such as Ram achieve to ruin your fun ...
Snowball are DA got the same obvious problem so i won't go on it ....
But however , i will /notsigned because then formats would become more jokes than they already are and it would probably favorise too much afking all day like in shing jea ...

i hate the gamer title. can only be gained during events, and with random teams. fail. I stopped at about 90 gamer points and my oldest character is 58 months old.
