I agree with this too... but i dont see people grouping in either... people dont need a HUB because people don't pug anymore... PvP-ers play with thier guild/allaince... and PvE-ers play with there 7 heroes... The only place u will see ppl LFG these days are in DoA and ToA... Why not at this point make a very convient outpost where all npcs and z-quests are a arms length away.

It's true about people not grouping, but I also meant a place where you can find everything you need in one place, and without too many useless things in the way.
For example I hate GToB for is full of people spamming pvp emotes, and there are very few things I need there (not being a pvper I don't care about any pvp related service - which is most of it) and lacks many I need (not only zv sigpost but also all the traders). I'd happily never set foot again on gtob if only zenchu and coin traders in eb were faster to reach.
Not sure if the way i explained it makes sense enough.

Kind of.... but you can always go into a empty district :P... Its just EB is to big... and since it was doomed to fail from the start to serve is main objective for falicitating grouping... its only purpse left would be convience but as you said "if only zenchu and coin traders were easier to reach" as the case with all npcs there...even fast traveling is more productive the mapping in and running to the respective NPC in most situations... I was severly disappointed when i heard 7 heroes was coming out the same time as EB...
I had hoped it would be a place where i could port in... find some random person to play with and do whatever it was they were doing... but now those people have 7heroes to play with instead. So GW jeebus knows that isnt the case... instead of just wasted effort it should be made into something more useful.

Status effect called: "Beached Az Bro!" Grants 50% Increased Movement Speed while in Embark Beach.
But to be honest, I am indifferent towards this whole suggestion, seems like an easy thing to implement for convenience, but it only takes a few clicks to get to embark beach anyway...

There are a few things people forget about that are beyond convenient AND Unique to Embark... First, one stop consumables, its the Walmart of GW. Second , scrolling into all scrollable elite areas. Call me crazy, but the only thing missing is DoA, not bad for a PvE hub. Ease of access from anywhere with a full party for anything you want to do seems pretty awesome. Tradition is what made Embark Beach fail, nothing less.
If you think about it, people haunt ToA because that's what they are used to. They lurk in gateway areas because that's what they know. So why are they still doing it? Because the same people that have always lead from those areas refuse to see the logic of going from an area that has all they need? Nope, we are creatures of habit.
Friend worked through Factions or NF and wants to hit the Udub but doesn't have ToA? Not an Issue, scroll in from Embark. Group wants to do Urgoz? Again no issues. Need to do some endgame NF? have a group? Don't want to split up? Embark. Add some more things to do, namely DoA and the place would probably see more use, but its really our own faults that we don't see the convenience. In short, if you aren't using Embark because walking an extra 30 seconds seems too much, your missing out on the ultimate in Elite Area entry. So next time you are grouping in an elite area and someone complains about needing cons remember, you could have made them, gotten your picks, merched that full inventory and picked up a new set of runes for that build they want you to try all in one space!

To OP, like mentioned above, one of the main reasons for EB was that PvP-players where annoyed bout the amount of PvE-players in their capital.
I would suggest the following changes:
1: In GTOB - remove the following items from merchant there: Salvage kits
ID-kits
lockpicks
2: In GTOB - remove the following NPC's
a: Rune Trader
b: Sebastian (for mercenary's)
c: Zaishen mission
d: Zaishen bounty
3: add an additional award for completing the zaishen combat (name it e.g. Zaishen Victory Token (non tradable item).
4: remove all PvE-rewards from z-coins traders in GTOB
5: add interesting PvP-rewards, but beside an amount of Ziashen Coins, they all require one Ziashen Victory Token
6: Add Guild Registar and cape designer to GTOB
But I'm not forgetting bout Embark Beach.
1: Remove Zaishen Bounty
2: place all 4 travel agents, nicely aligned in each village
3: place spawningpoints always just outside a village
4: add zaishen coin traders to each village
5: add zaishen reward guy to each village
Last but not least I would suggest to change the functioning of the boat-icon on the map.
1: Icon is there from the start of the game (except when in pre-searing).
2: default it has only Embark Beach as a location to travel to.
3: When in Embark Beach it has [last visited outpost on mainland] as location to travel to.
4: add a quest to all 4 campagins in the starter area's that explains this feature AND gives a tour around Embark beach, explaining how it works.
So this quest requires you to travel to embark beach, to talk to key NPC's (the travel agents, explaning a bit more bout what they have to offer in the feauture), and to return to the mainland to except your reward (small equipment pack as a reward maybe?)
This would solve several issues:
1: too many PvE-payers in a PvP-town
2: the need of an PvE-toon to create a guild
3: that Embark is too big to do your thing
4: newbe players getting lost there.
This list might be not complete, but I hope you get the general idea.

I don't think we really need to split into PvP and PvE hubs. I'd rather have one single hub that works - like GToB before EB - than multiple, ineffective hubs, so I'd put ZV in GToB and remove EB entirely.
EB is fascinating as a place to be, but definitely too large and awfully arranged to be of any significance.

The rune trader must stay. They are PvP-related NPCs. PvE characters need them sometimes to make quick changes in their equipment. PvE characters also play in PvP.
Actually, there should be a weapon upgrade trader for that reason too.

If this would happen...besides the buying/selling of boxes and keys gtob would be empty as well. Remember most of the activity in the game is derived from PvE.

This is wrong, people pug for the zaishen mission, bounty and vq. They just group in the town adjacent to the area or at the mission because of the asinine placement of the travel npcs and then there's the chance you will get some ignorant player who doesn't have the outpost you need to go to from EB, therefore pissing people off. Embark didn't really fail because it was late, it failed because it was executed in the wrong way.

Screw your artificial "hubs".
The only reason to use embark is to 1-take full group to Doa or 2-scroll in elite areas or 3- craft all cons At 1 location
Simplest solution - just put all the bounties in guild halls. Remove the retarded henchmen, or move them to 1 location, not spread out like archers on a gvg map.

The party panel is there to choose henchmen faster in a list.
Henchmen placement is decorative.
The bounties should NOT be in the halls. The slight chance of joining another player that just happens to be taking the same bounty is preferable, no matter how small.

I would luv bounties in gh. If there were a toggle between henchmen or bounties.....I'd say goodbye to the henchman forever. For most of the population they serve 0 purpose other than reminding us how screwed up the henchman contest was allowing pvx bars to win.

you just made my point.... don't need a hub for 3 areas of pug a day.... they also pug for UW/FoW/DoA.... but as for the other 99% of gw.. people don't pug... so i guess you can say im 1% wrong... cuz i know pugging PvP is nearly non-existant. The whole hub idea is wishful thinking because the pug population simply isnt there to warrent it. unlike before heroes.. pugging is now a secondary optional course of action... the game is not a MMORPG anymore... its a online RPG with cooperative option.

This sounds like a better idea than my idea.
With GH there, I can simply press g, and appear right onto the GH.
