Odd idea.
I've go an idea, I don't know if it's doable on a free server but I thing it would be cool if the final boss & any minions it may have would be played by real peeps from the games staff. That'd be pretty cool. :~{D

You mean like something that the mods on private servers do in AION and WoW?
No...its not doable in GW. There are no private servers, aside from the test server, and the way combat is designed the ANET staff members involved would have to have hundreds of instances open and controlled at once, as players can only have 8 people per instance to fight.

I think he was suggesting enemies to be played by the staff, rather than the AI.
Well, odd to say the least, quite unpractical too.

I wouldn't mind a PvP mode in which players get to control enemy 'bosses' a-la Left4Dead versus with the Special Infected.
But having paid staff doing that? More than odd it's rather nonsensical.

-The current live team consists of less than 10 people.
-Areas are instanced.
-There are more than 80 people playing at once at any given hour.
-Devs cannot play the game and work on supporting the game at the same time.

Its pretty much Lotros Monster Play. What it would be like is you select monster play and you become a boss in a randomly chosen area the other player chose to VQ. It's so you don't wait hours in a queue. How it would work is where the problem lies. You would have to find a way to balance it because the other players heroes would probably annihilate you if they have meta builds. It's basically pvp in pve and I would have welcomed it a long time ago but the game is too old and it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work.
