Oh because it's so fun when you have your 8 person team put together and have to go to Nightfall.......
----------
75% speed boost as an environmental effect in EB.
A travel agent for each area in each of the three circles.
A single consumables NPC with all the consumables.
From broken to usable (still not great) in three steps.

My God! Less people stopping briefly in Kamadan, Lion's Arch and Kaineng center? Because Embark Beach would be fixed to serve its function is a convenient PvE hub? That IS horrible!

running around to specific npc's for traveling is waste of time seeing maptravel is faster than running from elona to cantha part and so on

I avoid GToB like a plague.
I like Embark Beach and have learned its layout with little effort and like that I can pick up all my Z quests, turn in rewards, merchant, xunlai, put together a 8 man party, travel to convenient locations... it's a nice outpost.
Maybe it could have been better, it is a bit spread out and that's my only complaint, but when you learn where things are, it's not so bad.

Embark is fine. It could be made finer, like adding outpost travelers or adding a "zaishen traveler". You talk to him and he gives you a selection of outposts he derived from your questlist. At max this would be 12 options, 3 for each type of zaishen.
Embark is my main base. The guildhall is poopie because it turns all skills into pvp skills and I can't set up for PvE right.
I use the travel guys even if I have to go to an outpost, I just go to a mission that is near.
I don't pug anyway. I'm for efficiency.

Well, it sure was silly to include 7 heroes at the same time they launched Embark Beach. Pure conflict of interest. They should have done that later on. As much as I love being able to use 7 heroes, the biggest point of EB was to make PUGing easier, thus more frequent. Anyway, that aside, why not...
1) Put the Zaishen notice boards left of the ship. This is where you buy your "ticket" (quest) to where you want to go. The rewards and coins NPCs go on the other side, to avoid visual clutter and bunching up.
2) Put travel NPCs on the ship. There's a suitable place, left of the mast. . So you buy your ticket, and you head to the ship.
2 1/2) Add major cities (the ones with the big icons on the map) to the travel NPCs.
3) When you map to Embark Beach, you always spawn atleast in compass range of the quest & reward NPCs.
Ofcourse, you're welcome to wander and explore the beach, whenever you'd like.
4) The closest market hub (or two, so people don't bunch up together) stays. The 3rd, and farthest away, can stay or go, I don't care either way.
5) I think the consumables guys are OK where they are, but I don't use them often, so I'll leave that opinion to those who know.
Oh, and a silly idea (too silly, but maybe it makes sense, if people DID end up forming groups in Embark Beach):
In Party Search, add these categories:
Zaishen Mission
Zaishen Bounty
Zaishen Vanquish
That way it will be easy to find the people you want to team up with.

The 7 hero thing was surely the nail in the coffin of this area. How this area hasn't taken off as a trade hub still has me baffled. You would also think that the placement would have been a bit closer, granted there would be a bit more clutter.
I'm still not sure they will make the area useful enough for most players, as that hero update just makes pugging redundant.
