God of Tyria (title)
For those of us who have been playing this game for all these years, we deserve some type of reward for being loyal.
Here's my suggestion; make us God and endowed us with some useful power in town and outpost, yet still not give us an edge against other players. A certain NPC in Nightfall gets to be god at the end, how come we can't? We did a hell of a lot more; averted crisis from several continents, saving the world countless time over, and even kicking one God's ass. C'mon..
Here's the requirements:
- Player must be have attained GWAMM
- Player must have a full HoM
- Player's account must be at least 5 years old
*The above shows that you've done almost everything in the game and have played long enough.
After the above requirements are met:
- Player must complete the final quest for ascension: "To Infinity and Beyond"
Make the quest solo and somewhat difficult.
Here's the rewards:
Title:
- God of Tyria (world, not the continent)
Equipment:
- Translucent Mist armor (Kinda like Ghostly Hero)
Skills:
- Bonuses with this armor:
- Permanent 75% speed increase in town and outpost
- Teleport to nearby locations within town or outpost
- Unlimited fireworks activation
Comments, suggestions, and flames welcome.

I like but it should be only for those who started with beta and kept playing. See where I'm going with this.

Excellent idea Maybe.... The god of heroes? This way we could all be mentioned even in GW2 with one common given name (which in turn could be decided with a contest?). It could also be interesting to create the lore for why the hero's human name was forgotten and replaced with a "god name." (I'd be changing the line to write here, if my phone allowed it........) Although I think the rewards shouldn' be quite as... much. The title and maybe an emote should be enough. Even though the speed boost too, could be nice The emote could be something like the character cheering, and some ghostly figures of for example the heroes of Ascalon and other known henchmen and heroes appearing beside the character and repeating the act.

-1, why do you need any recognition online at all? so you want a title that is pretty much pve orientated and proved that you have grinded thousands and thousands of hours.

Lets see - player (a) has been on gw since beta and has constantly logged in and can get title.Player (b) has been on since beta but spent 4 yrs on a diff online game - both in theory has been around for same amount of time exccept playing time. How is that going to be fair ?
Also many of us players support gw by purchasing stuff from the online shop - can we get our own exclusive title ? Im sure many would complain about that - heck why not give us title and new weapons just to make ourselvs that much more elite.
Sorry to say but bad idea overall.
Btw ive about 17 titles abd so far unless its in eotn i dont even bother showing them - infact i dont even bother title checking ppl i see around me , its only a title which is like saying "sir" or "miss / madam " out of politeness.
(why does this thread seem like troll fodder )

Horrible idea. And honestly, there's already so many rewards for "being loyal"...including birthday gifts for being there for so many years. We really need all but other stupid exlusive and grind rewarding stuff.

Completely terrible idea. No reason to make veteran players get these ridiculous boosts to their ego.

Wrong, there should be no award for having an old character imho, this proofs nothing.
Instead there I think the title should be given to the very first person ever to get gwamm.

A reward for being on for x years? I thought that's what birthday presents are for.
Extra rewards for having gwamm is not a new idea and if the title in itself isn't enough, then why bother getting it?
I do like the idea of some kind of emote for gwamm characters (like a random avatar of one of the gods coming to /wave or /dance or whatever^^)

wow, and i thought elitism has reached its limit...... does it have one?
a title made off getting everything the game has
i mean, no offense, but i'm simple, almost any change can be added for all i care, but something with THAT much elitism???
no thx, and a solo quest too??? o_O
why not remove online and multiplayer options?
no but seriously, there's enough stuff people can use to be "the best" or "better"
dont make it even worse

I've been playing since beta have 35+ titles on two characters and i still think that is to much reward.... another rank in GWAMM would be sufficient.
The game is almost over for players like me anyway... I wont be coming back to gw1 after gw2 unless some kinda player market for currency exchange happens.

Excellent idea, but will quickly be dismissed by the players who don't want to put in the time in this game as the loyal long time fans.

Gods are a pretty big deal in Tyria, I don't know why you think it would be a good idea to cheapen their title (as in their status, not an actual mechanical, GW-based title) by letting hundreds or thousands of players obtain such a title... although admittedly GWAMM does this already.
It's very poor to suggest that this title must be achieved by pre-requisites that you yourself don't describe in detail. A "solo and somewhat difficult" hardly provides a scope for what you wish players to do.
I'm against tying any sort of additional rewards to the length of time that an account has been activated. There are other things such as the time played and the older experience that are already rewards for players who have old accounts. Adding an age requirement to a title is an unnecessary barrier.
Permanent speed boosts and unlimited activation of fireworks would trivialize those party favors which already give such an effect, even if those abilities were shared by only a select few.
Quite unwanted.

I would recommend making a few changes to make it more based on ability
Delete 5 year requirement
Delete Gwamm Requirement
Add 35 Maxed Titles Requirement
Add Completed All Elite Areas in Hard Mode
Restrictions
Add anti-spam feature to the unlimited fireworks
Other
Remove Teleport Reward
Add Levitation Reward ( a god shouldn't have to walk)
/Signed
