I think us posters beat our heads bloody against "walls " enough, heh heh .
Either way i think public opinion is pretty clear:
1) /Signed = i'd prefer not to use Wurms anymore for a few different reasons. (fair enough rumble rumble rumble)
2) /unsigned = I don't see why it is needed, alot of effort, not much pay off.
It seems roughly 50/50 to me and its not going to effect the people who "don't" want it.
so:
IF it could be added in possible "NF beyond" content then AWESOME.
Will that content come? Is it worth adding regardless of NF beyond?
Maybe (i hope so) and most likely not.

well, the lore for the "impassible except by worm" purists is already moot, as you are greeted outside of Morah by a very much human Kournan Captain Mehhan, who crossed with Varesh and her forces.
And bottom line is. I didn't roll a worm. I didn't select a worm as 2nd prof. I did not spend fortunes on worm armor and worm weapons. I did not spend significant RL dollars on worm costumes or worm makeovers. Nor did I roam over 3 campaigns for a serious time investment to capture Worm elites or purchase worm skills. I also did not acquire every hero in game, and purchase 8 merc slots in order to have them replaced by a canned skill set of moronic worms. I developed my Character and her heroes, and expect to play THAT character and her heroes..
Gimmick garbage is fine for one off optional content. Forced to play a gimmick over and over is not.
And to the person asserting taking control and micromanaging hero worms.. thanks for proving the AI point.. since the very same non worm hero teams can easily defeat wasteland foes on rocky ground without said micromanaging.

How did Varesh get through? She was still human (partially at least) while travelling the Desolation. I suppose Abaddon gave her a blessing of sorts? If so Kormir should be able to bless us too. Maybe (just maybe) make having elonian guardian a requirement?
Also, please remember that the Asura are in the mix now, so I suppose that a race that can, in only 250 years invent frickin' TIME TRAVEL, a simple mask with filters or something is child's play.
Hey Vekk, show us how smart you REALLY are!

She was no longer human. She already had 6 eyes under her skin, and was affected by the Lightbringer's Gaze.

If
You have maxed Sunspear
AND You have maxed Lightbringer
AND You have finished Nightfall
Then
Tick the Lightbringer box to display the title if you want to be able to walk on the sulphurus haze.
Or
Untick the Lightbringer box to play as a wurm.

i know one better
- you have to complete elona missions (even without bonusses)
AND you can use the wurms at the places they are right now
really, if you want the game to be harder/less easy etc, you can do it your own way
if they should do this, then you dont NEED to use it
why do people always say "NO" while they dont NEED to do it that way?
with upgrades like this one, you can play old fashion, like they gave us heroes, yet you can keep playing with hench only (with exception of certain elona missions, but you can give the hero a build of some henchies)
i'd say: complete eotn, then do 2 or 3 quests with a blessing from kormir (which may require at least rank 1 or 2 of lightbringer) (maybe even require having razah in team... or just unlocked)

No, we should be allowed to bring Wurms into the realm of Torment and Vabbi/Istan . Can you imagine the look on Prince Bokka's face when he finds that he has something to contend for his buffet plate now ???

Vanquishing in wurms has always been easier for me than not. The mobs on the Haze are much, much bigger. Some groups even have 3-4 Cavaliers that can use We Shall Return like crazy, along with 2 Acolytes. Wurm damage takes them down pretty quickly, since your heroes will come up and spam skill 3 on whoever you want for an immediate spike and kill.
I am not against changing certain things though. Like, what is the point of 3,000 health if armor makes us take more damage than under normal circumstances? 75 Health gain every 4 seconds is hardly enough for us to survive, and you can only use Stance every 30 seconds to use with Bite, or you can try to use Smash and hope to get lucky with its long casting time. Either way, wurms are fine if you ask me, except what I mentioned above

How did varesh and her human troops cross the desolation ? aww dont say you cant work it out .. lets think logically but in a gw type of way.
1 almighty big sandpit - beings that are alive cannot cross but we can see visually that margonites and undead can cross .. so what does varesh do?
Can you see where im going here - if an army had to cross a deep river they would build a bridge , so to cross the desolation all she would need do is get the margonites to carry whats left of her human troops over - its so simple its daft.
We know from the storyline the margonites pretty much took over the desolation so advance troops would go first and as i suggested the rest carried the others over when its safe.
We dont really see or hear of any margonites taming the wurms - now that would be a nightmare lol and it seems abbadon isnt able to taint the wurms - infact with reflection maybe the monolyths carried ppl over.
If this was said ages ago before ua change then id have said varesh sent a load of ua monks over and got her troops the walk an die on sand then get rez`d other side :P

Abaddon's minions are demons, not humans. Look at their faces- most definitely NOT human. Also, Varesh got over the Desolation because she wasn't human anymore- she was Abaddon's vessel until the Realm of Torment was opened up, then we killed her. The only evidence of people in the Desolation are spirits which leads us to believe they were either there before this so called "Haze" or died because of it. Everything that exists in the Desolation is either Spirit, Undead, Demon, or Mandragor. I don't know how Mandragor's would have gotten over but since they aren't human I would assume they aren't affected by the haze- if they are, they can burrow underground.
Also, to all those who are complaining about using Wurms- they do more dmg than your discord or OP heroes- l2usethem

1 word: fun
we should have fun, and some of us (me too) dont like wurms even after done the storyline
thats the real problem, its no fun always using wurms to get somewhere and maybe to vq
and the story could have kormir giving us a blessing we gotta get after completion of NF, so the story wont get hurt either (in case someone wanted to point out the lore)

Yup. The main reason against Junundu is how boring they are.
They are powerful, but they are still boringly slow DP-gathering machines.

And wurms, and giants, and elementals, and forgotten and the most forgotten pet: Hyenas.
That's the thing I'd like to know. How do hyenas managed to be around these parts unharmed.

No they don't lol. I wouldn't be suggesting a change if they could outperform my hero team.

VQing any haze-heavy maps is a nightmare.
Try somehwere like Joko's Domain - just compare the amount of DP your team will stack up in haze and in the normal/rocky areas. The fact that touch range AI is still shit and the undead mobs have multiple copies of res skills across multiple monsters, one of which is a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing AoE shout takes the piss when you're unable to use frozen soil. Anyone thinking doing it in wurms is easier than a standard hero team, even 3 hero/4 hench, is either lying or has never done it before.

We're mixing up Morghan with Kournan Captain Mehhan. Morghan travelled with the player. This guy is very much human and past the sulphur.
