I'll sign it...
Having to carry around 4 different weapons is 1 thing...
There will always be uses for armour switching though over this.

I supported the first thread and I'll support this one even though I doubt anything will come of it. It's an excellent idea and a nice alternative to extra storage especially now that there are so many insignias and styles of armor. I really does seem the next logical step at this point to have a much more pleasantly customizable PvE character.
I should point out, however (nit-picker that I am), that in SASv2.....

Similar to its predecessor, the SASv2 enables the changing of Armor Insignias and Runes while the character is residing in outposts / towns. However, the SASv2 is also capable of changing the skin of the armor as well.

...having a pulldown for Minor AND Tactics is unnecessary as you really only need a list of runes to change to. Why be able to change the Minor part only when you can just switch to Superior Tactics?
Personally, I think it would be great if they added a feature allowing all armor to have v1 in it and then added a specialized suit crafted in DoA (or somewhere like that) that has it's own new skin along with v2 built into it.
Alas, if wishes were fishes......

In an attempt to break this down, understand it and suggest a few new ideas, etc.... *deep breath*
<Example of how I think that the SAS might work>
-Player (Ranger) visits Armor NPC in Kaineng Center (Ryoko); Trades the crafting materials (25 Hide and 25 Wood) and gold (1.5k) to get a single piece of armor crafted (Shing Jea Druid's Gloves).
-Instead of this piece appearing in Player's inventory, this piece is added to Unlocked Armor List.
-Player can now select the Gloves Slot on their character and select [Insignia Built-in][X] [Kaineng Center][V] [Shing Jea Druid's Gloves][V] (of) [None][V]. This can then be equipped free of charge to their character because the baseline price has already been paid and no rune is applied to it.
-If Player wishes to apply rune of Major Marksmanship to aforesaid gloves... Player must have a Major Marksmanship rune in inventory or purchase one from Rune Trader. Player then drags rune onto depiction of character in inventory to "Memorize" the rune. The Rune disappears and becomes available in the Rune Selection Menu for all armor pieces. Armor piece can then be recrafted for 50% of original cost in gold (750g).
[Insignia Built-in][X] [Kaineng Center][V] [Shing Jea Druid's Gloves][V] (of) [Major Marksmanship (1)][V]
-If Player wishes to apply Runes of Attunement to armor pieces that do not have runes already applied to them... Player must "Memorize" multiple copies of this rune. Player drags 5 Runes of Attunement to character depiction one by one. Rune listing now displays [Attunement (5)][V] and as Player applies the runes to armor pieces, the Rune listing updates itself. [Attunement (4)][V], [Attunement (3)][V], etc. Everytime a Rune is applied in this fashion, it is removed from memory providing a need to obtain more as the Player crafts more and more armor. *Could be changed to allow for a 50% chance that rune remains in memory when armor piece is replaced with new piece; follows with the Wisdom and Treasure Hunter titles on that character*
-Player can visit a special NPC to trade in past armor to unlock the skin/attributes/runes for that character depending on what is equipped on that piece of armor at the time.
Pros:
-Armor remains a money sink
-Rune prices at the trader would rise significantly
-The Armor NPCs can continue doing what they do best
-The storage problem with armor pieces is resolved
Cons:
-People will no longer be able to show off all their different armors on the fly without having to pay for them....
-More work for Devs
-More stuff for people to complain about *why can't I salvage my superior Vigor rune to sell it to the trader?!?!*
-Rune prices might climb too high for the casual player to be able to afford.
Just my thoughts on the matter...

I like to variate my builds far too often to have a lot of armor sets and wasted space and money from buying new runes or insignias. I love the idea of unlocking a rune to a unique piece of armor and interchanging it. You would still have to buy 5 vitaes or attunements or profession runes depending on the piece you want to put it on. Fabolous idea indeed and would love to see this implemented.

I like it, extra sets of armour take up alot of inventory space. This is a nice, relatively simple and well thought out solution to this problem that does not imbalance the game in any way.

This idea seems almost absurdly well thought out and developed. I don't see why anyone would be against it (didn't read the thread, I'm sure someone found something wrong with the whole idea).
