I just wonder, if you(not talking to anyone in particular) have a sh!tload of accounts, and you have tons of stacks of this and that(for example party points), I'd like to know how exactly you accumulate all of that? How do you farm all your hundred of stacks? Do you accumulate it over years and then just sell it in one big go? Are you somehow magical and can farm on 5 accounts open at the same time? I'd really like to know, so I can get in on that stuff because I must be missing out.

Haven't done the numbers but accumulating huge numbers of title points could also be done via power trading. Simple supply and demand. Just need a good amount of storage space and starting capital. Can't say what kind of production a legitimate hardcore farmer gets because I can't do it for longer than 20 minutes before I feel like my brain is beginning to disintegrate. Of course, I'm sure plenty of it is gained via botting and whatnot too.

This is very similar to Mass banning in Aion-na another NCsoft product.
Even the lack of an official explanation: "you botted/spammed" is similar, maybe its an NCsoft policy.
There were/are many bots in Aion and when they mass ban them alot of legitimate accounts have been false flagged for spamming or botting.
Some suggested that "ping stabiliser" programs like: WTFast and Battleping were responsible for the false flags,
but sometimes completely vanilla players were banned too.
From my experience around 2013ish most people got there accounts back within a few weeks when the mods were able to check over things like names and activitys.
example: "awdh5w9hu" = bot... "Legitimate character name" = possibly not a bot.
Unfortunately for Guildwars it appears they are very under resourced to deal with such a situation, but atleast there is 'some' hope that they will review it.
Good luck people, keep hounding them.

thanks for that thought, however, I have a feeling that things are a bit different with gw since its a much older game than aion and gw2 exists. So many of the customer 'service' folks (they say the only do gw, but I think most are doing gw2 with a few doing both--possibly those who were around before 2 was out), have little time to do tickets for our game and were told to just 'say the ban stands and no appeal' and move on (or ignore us for a month and perhaps we will just give up)
I notice a majority (ok everyone I have spoken to) have more than one account, many of them have bunches and only some of them were banned (if they are using a program on their computer that is corrupting gw somehow should it not corrupt it all the time and not just some of it? thus flagging all the accounts?)
I have been reading the 7 day and older thread and from the guys post today it sounds like the CS people are ....not all on the same page (the guy I mention has a few accounts his family plays on 3 were banned--one was unbanned and then re-banned when he told them about the others, by the other GM'S!--from that I see that they are trying to keep all the accounts banned --even the innocent ones).

I had one account banned and one that didn't.
I entered my alt into HA in order to get matches and it got banned. Which is annoying, because now it takes longer to get matches on my main account.

This would be consistent with the understanding that ArenaNet does not have software detection (despite any claims they may make to the contrary), and relies on actually looking at people's activities to make an educated guess on who's a bot.

I do believe they have the tools to monitor whatever interacts with their .exe. They definitely banned a lot of VMWare users on the sole assumption that they were running vmware to hide their bots, when a good portion of them weren't botting.

I think they also banned a LOT of folks on the pure ASSumption that you can not run more than one game from an ip---so familys/partners/lan parties/etc are all 'suspicious' ....they dont realize that many people have others that they play with RIGHT IN THEIR OWN HOMES. (gee that was the whole idea why my hubby got me into this game in the first place!)....and looking back my youngest account that was banned was only purchased in mid 12 so it had to be stuff in the last ~2 years they looked at (I'm thinking it was anyone who was on during a certain period/date).

Negative, but a lot of my work friends who played Guild Wars on work computers using VMWare after the January 22nd update experienced a code=034 or some odd error and were permanently banned upon attempting to login again.

GW needs it own support and ticket system like it use to have and if NCSoft can't afford it means they could possibly be losing money. It doesn't matter if their are slight sales and if this is the case time to sell ArenaNet off.
There are those that are still buying this game.I haven't logged into my accounts although i would like to but I need to run GWx2 and don't want to be caught.

TBH it seems to me that ArenaNet wants to pull the servers plug asap.
By banning active players (innocent or not) it's a final blow to the community making many others legit players (or not) to leave up the room, since most of the players who got banned won't return.
It will decrease the active population (far down the road) to a number that they will feel safe to shut down the game without any inconvenience (probably mid 2016).
Don't ever think for a moment that they were doing this messed up banning for a greater state of the game.
The ArenaNet we once knew is long gone (Jeff Strain & Patrick Wyatt) there isn't anyone to hear our appeals anymore.

yes, looks like they just want to get everyone off the game--though at some point they will need to tell gw2 players that the rewards for the HoM wont be available anylonger due to them closing this game down.
All I wanted was to finish up the titles I was working on before the end...now I can not--leaves a unfinished feeling and I dont like to leave things unfinished.

Really? Your alt got banned after you used it to 'get more matches in HA'?
That's called syncing, something anet has been known to ban for and done before. You should be happy your main wasn't banned instead of sad you lost your alt ^

That is a joke & so is this. Anet's a joke this is retardation at it's finest on behalf of Anet.
"My family has purchased 6 Guild Wars and 4 Guild Wars 2 accounts. 4 Guild Wars accounts are linked to Guild Wars 2 accounts for Legacy skins which we find very cool. The last Guild Wars account was purchased less than a year ago specifically to link with a Guild Wars 2 account for that purpose.
On the 29th of January, we last played on the two youngest Guild Wars accounts, placing people in the monastery for Canthan New Year, and killed Charr in Pre-Searing.
On the morning of 30th of January, we found three of our accounts, including the two youngest, were banned. The message said bot or third party (error 45 IIRC).
We submitted tickets, got the automated message, and proceeded to do Canthan New Year with our remaining accounts.
On February 2, we asked for updates on the tickets through e-mail.
On February 6, I posted on this thread asking for an update because I wanted to do Canthan New Year with the remaining accounts.
On February 7 and 8, GM Micro and GM Humbucker sent identical e-mails to each account saying our accounts were terminated for using an illegal third-party program. They suggested that we “review the Guild Wars User Agreement, Rules of Conduct, and the explanatory Conduct Breaches and Outcomes document here:
http://www.guildwars.com/support/legal/.” You may note the dead link in those messages. I did found the agreement elsewhere and read it
On February 8, we updated each ticket, saying we hadn’t done anything wrong that we knew of and explained how we play. I have a LAN gaming network with multiple computers on it. My family plays Guild Wars using this network.
GM Glow quickly responded with an apology and reactivated the oldest terminated account. GM Sakuris updated the youngest account saying that the accounts locked on January 14 were for using third-party programs designed to give significant gameplay advantages and upheld the ban. Then GM Rodin sent a copy of the January 14 e-mail to the oldest account that GM Glow had reactivated and said it would remain deactivated. We further updated the younger and older tickets via e-mail.
On February 9, GM Humbucker informed the older account (reactivated and deactivated) that the account would “remain permanently closed and will not be eligible for reactivation under any circumstances.” GM Micro sent a copy-paste of the same message to the middle account at that time. We updated those two tickets, asking to know what they thought we had done. GM Dhuum responded to the middle account with a copy-paste of the January 14 message.
This is where we stand right now. A lot of copy-paste messages about accounts locked on the 14th for using a third-party program that gave significant gameplay advantages.
Our accounts were locked on the 29th or 30th and seem to have no relation to those accounts on the 14th. Even your own GMs seem confused on the matter of whether or not they deserve locking, considering the contradictory e-mails.
We play on a LAN network with multiple computers in one room. So we can talk about what we are doing. Would that look like a multi-session program to your diagnostics? One computer at this time has a Guild Wars Factions zboard keyset on it, but that is a second-party officially licensed gaming device and I would therefore assume is legal to use. Would THAT look like a third-party program to your diagnostics?
We don’t use any third-party program for Guild Wars. We don’t play PVP, other than to get out of Pre-Searing and a few years ago we did the Jade Quarry stuff during faction weekends. We don’t seek any advantages over other players. We don’t try to hurt other player’s gaming experiences. We play PVE and work to get each account up to 30 EOTN points for Guild Wars 2 legacy stuff. We collect miniatures and cool weapons and nice armor. We almost never sell stuff except to fellow family accounts. It’s not against the rules to sell stuff to family under market costs is it?
My mom recently retired so she plays a lot, and when she leaves to watch TV she leaves her char dancing in town to show off her nice miniatures. She does a lot of dancing.
I’ve played since beta, I’ve purchased multiple collectors editions, and the oldest affected account has factions and nightfall collectors editions. My family plays because I recommended this game. We’ve spent hundreds of dollars between skill sets, character slots, GOTY upgrades, Mercenary Heroes, and such. A quick age check on my oldest account (not affected) shows almost 6,000 hours over the last 117 months. That’s almost ten years. On one of six accounts.
I’ve read the EULA and I honestly think we’ve abided by it. If we haven’t, please tell me what we’ve done that is a violation so we can know what NOT to do in the future."

This is what happens when they allow one chemically/emotionally imbalanced individual to make the calls for the best game they've created... Looking back, the only times when we had a reversal on decisions made by ArenaNet is when Gaile Gray was our liason, and that was rare back then.
If we really want justice, we're going to have to get her attention somehow.
