yeah right, they wont even acknowledge they did something wrong let alone apologize for pisssssing off a good number of loyal gw players.

I agree with that. I for one have no interest in any of Anet/NC's other games or future games because of the ban waves. It's a big incident that reflects poorly on them and makes me have no confidence that I'll be treated like a paying gamer.

GvG: Ever wonder how those people have r10+ champ? They are all syncers. Yes, there may be 1 or 2 legit r10+ champ titles (people that have been in gvg since the start of gw - if there are any left), but the vast majority are synced.

RA: Ever wonder who someone maxed their glad title? They took advantage of a glitch - 99% likely.

Skillz: Do you really think anyone played in that many festival games to max this title? 99% bet they took advantage of the same glitch that was in RA.

My point was this:

Many of the people that deliberately took advantage of the system and synced for months/years to max their HA, codex, glad titles were banned in those ban waves. Since the unbanned started, I have seen many of them who I know were banned, now unbanned and flaunting all their synced titles and wealth again.

Now these guilty people are all unbanned, while you innocent people are still trying to get unbanned. Sucks, doesn't it? If only anet cared. Honestly, it would have been more fair to everyone to just say that if you got banned, there was no unban. Because now the people least deserving of the unbans are getting them while the people that deserve them in the first place, aren't.

Silly Oo just got his main unban. one of the biggest syncers going cause his gf went to Anet office in Seattle lol All while many innocent & less degree of cheaters remain banned. I'm not saying any form of cheating is right cause we all know it isn't but comes to to what's fair & what isn't.

Arkon, I think what he's trying to express is frustration- obviously c10 takes YEARS and YEARS of WINNING, not just playing, high rated gvg. In 2006ish, a high rated gvg game lasted ~22 minutes depending on the builds being used, and if you take the 3600 wins required to achieve c10 and multiply that by 22, that's 1,320 HOURS of winning gvg alone. There's not many people who can legitimately claim they have won 1,320 hours worth of guild verse guild games since 2005(I can think of 3 or 4 off the bat) and very unlikely any of them play anymore seeing as the pvp community has a handful of vets from 2006ish still playing.

That being said, it's still JUST a title and won't get you much more than through the door in the pvp community. It's such a tight knit circle that if you don't know people chances are you won't be playing for good guilds anyway.

And as for Silly's sake, I think it's an absolute travesty that he and others like him regain their accounts account seeing as he and his group of friends (who actually made that hacked client with the empty RA instances, mind you) made thousands of irl currency off of it.

Maybe the original poster is simply honest and has integrity and is pissed off at cheaters like most of us are here.

No one gives a flying f**k about those fake titles they stole. They have no value at all. I don't even know anyone who plays PvP. That whole area just seems silly to me.

But what people are upset about is that those idiots helped trigger the bannings that ruined innocent players' accounts. Not everything is just pixels on a screen. They hurt real people in real life and some of those people never got their accounts back while these idiots are parading around with fake title stuff like they did no wrong.

My point is only this: I don't care about sync as long as the title is hidden, that the player keep it for himself and that he did not do wrong to other player while doing it. What I hate above all is someone trying to show off with a title illegally acquired.

please google "guild wars sync bot" and then slap yourself in the face when you think these are things "you will never get"

The only thing that bothers me about these people is how much psychological trauma they must be going through to require this little sliver of "accomplishment" to make themselves feel significant in their own personal little way. It just boggles my mind...

if comparing them to innocently banned people, then yes, but for some title, i dont care

i mean, yes, they should do something about people now getting it by cheating, maybe disabling pvp on their account or something

heck, if anet would by accident give some people all titles, i wouldnt care, as i'm playing the game (and even getting titles) myself
i may care if i would get the titles i wanna work for, though (although i hate not getting proph carto the better way, with proph missions exploreable versions..... cantha and elona have it, so its not cheating, i hate mission objectives triggering while i'm getting my title by walking alot already)

Just incase you missed my point because it;s obvious that some people did. The reason that you should care that these syncers and botters are getting unbanned but innocent people aren't is exactly that. The people who caused the ban waves are getting unbanned, and you people who are innocently banned are still stuck banned.

And to the people saying "I don't care if people sync for titles, etc" look at Silly's new sell thread - that is exactly why you should care. How do you think he got that money? ^ The syncers and botters are the reasons that mini IG, panda, and kanaxai are unnattainable to the average person. They can make money 24/7 syncing. And you can't. That's why they were banned.

Anyways, this is my last post here, if you still don't get why they should still be banned, I'm done explaining it.

Access to my Accounts has been returned but there is still much confusion in how Support handled it. Some GMs wanted to help while others were bent out of shape to have my Accounts remain closed. There was an apology for the inconvenience but no given reason as to what had caused the mass closure of Accounts. Some Friends were given an e-mail or told about an 'Anti-Bot Detection' gone wrong and that TexMod, GWDressup, or MultiLaunch had nothing to do with it.

Some of my Friends' Accounts are still Terminated and after what I had experienced, I think they are just leaving it at that to move on and not going to bother with the Support.

It really seemed like a chance on which GM gets to your Support Ticket first and who works on it. There was little coordination and direction as to how to resolve the Issue especially if it's an Appeal. I think your best bet is to directly talk to the higher-ups through a Personal Message on their Forum if possible when you cannot get a sound solution - I was extremely angry and upset but try to keep your composure.

Hope that this helps and that if anyone is still wronged gets resolved. It took me since January, so if you know you haven't done anything wrong and are extremely patient and persistent, fight for what is right - don't let anyone bully you.

Lars, yes, it seems as if they do not coordinate with other cs members as to what they are doing--which also reflects on the whole cs team (as well as the company).
I am glad you got your accounts back and that others are still getting unbanned. The whole thing was handled extremely badly by anet and I know that it has left a very bad impression on many people --some who own both or either game--as to making additional purchases from them.
